Hey, you left me out, where do I fall? So...um, the Injen exhaust is LOUD at WOT, i did the ghetto windows down test today just to make sure it wasnt sounding weird or anything...and dang, for about 5-7k it's roaring, and it makes a cool wooshing sound too....
Oh, and I havent posted for awhile, but welcome EvoFoLife...what color and year is your Evo? If you want a ride in an Evo with just an exhaust...I think I'm your best bet to feel the differences there...and I'm probably going to dyno it at Modern after the flash...and while Modern...well...yeah, what Ray said...they do have a good dyno system...and for those of us who don't know how to work on our own cars, they're the best and only bet unless you can bribe someone on here to work on it for you....Jared, your rating system sucked...I'd put it: me, you, ben, scott, zach, ray, rob in order of insaneness...Ray beats zach cuz Ray has no back seats, did you get the CF hood yet Ray Ray?

Damn we are off the hook.

Ray, your car doesn't even run and you want more power. That is focking funny. I want your cams if you are serious about upgrading.

Scott, you did get a deal!

Zach, get your car custom tuned for sure. That way you get control of your timing and make good power on pump gas. And then use the AFC to tune the race gas for serious powa.

EvoFoEva, RallySportDirect stocks the helix, invidia and perrin exhaust if you want to support locals. I think vtsnake could get you Injen as well and he's local. Otherwise the .com has lots of deals out there. How loud and the number of bends is really the only difference in exhaust systems, as well as price.

Oh, one more thing, dont worry about getting stomped by the 300, last night there was a Z4 that would gain about 2 car lengths on me through a stop light and then wouldnt gain any more...save your clutch, screw cars on the street...I hope that z4 got a ticket too, I went, sure, but I hit the speedlimit and slowed down, I think he probably ended up going like 130 or so...and a friend verified that my car still feels fast, so I think the "butt dyno" died and I just went paranoid to the clutch blowing up...I hope

jake, it's not a contest. but if it were, zach would have the edge...he'll have more juice once he's done. rob on the otherhand, well he's just nutz! but i getting into this horsepower thing! I WANT MORE! i think as things start to blow up (no, not my blowup doll) i will replace them as if i'm gonna make 6-7hun hps. i think that eventually will be my goal. i'm sick of taking a back seat to rob.

nope. no cf hood yet. having problems with the company. may have to go another route. i am getting rid of that damn suit case handle in the back tho.

Its a black 03. Yeah, it would be nice to be able to feel and hear the difference with a different exhaust. I'm mostly looking for power, but I don’t want it to be really loud. Looking for a deep throaty sound. Are any of you using a cat delete?

suit case handle? Hey, I wasn't trying to make it a contest, and I was doing it in order of Track race prepared...maybe your weight you shaved off wouldnt be enough to keep up with Zach and Rob. I don't see how you could want more hp when you don't even know how much you have right now...

it runs. don't wanna stomp on it till the tune. if and when i redo my setup, i'll be swapping my cams for the new hks 280's. it really all depends on what i do with the car. this project all started with wanting a reliable track car that i didn't care about. something i can beat the $hit out of and not care. but i've spent soooo much time and effort into it, i'm actually starting to have "feelings" for it. i might feel bad if i put it through the paces at a track. so i might as well make as much horsepower as i can and then just let it sit and show off my dyno slips! and ocassionally take it for a spin. if you knew me i'm notorious for having "garage queens". only time will tell. who knows with me, the car might be for sale in two months.

I think a good number of us have cat-deletes, I do...and the Injen is really quiet in all circumstances except WOT, which most are gonna be pretty loud at. The perrin and the HKS both sound really good too, I think the HKS is the deeper sounding one of those two.

well the three above cars mentioned are all totally different. zachs is a drag racer, rob goes both ways , and mines for you know what. so it's not really fair to compare any of them but when it comes to horses, rob rocks and rolls!

as for weight savings i'm at almost 200 lbs. less than stock. still thinking on removing the sunroof and gutting the doors. but there's still the ac, radio, lighter seats, and the glass but without those, i'd go crazy driving to cali for track events.

as for not knowing how much juice i'm putting down, no i don't know exactly but i do know it's not enough.

Do you even need a seat Ray? I think you should take those out and build a small carbon fiber frame to hold you...and take off those heavy side skirts too...no, but in all honesty and seriousness, I guess i havent seen Rob or Zach's cars or really know much about the cars, so you're right...and in even more seriousness, you should definitly get rid of the sunroof, no questions asked...remember EvoFoLife....Cat-delete = stinky car...and get a TT if you don't have one

Sorry...turbo-timer...helps prolong the turbo's life by letting it cool down and letting the large amounts of oil run out of it...or you can just sit in the car for 30sec-1min when you park after driving hard, either way works...Turbo Timer just lets you get on with your life...and lets you get really funny comments from people saying your car is still running
