Ray... Look at the weight setting... and then look at what Modern sets theirs at... THAT is why Al hates the mustangs... we've all been dynoed at 3100 lbs here... crank that up to 3500... Al hates Mustangs, cuz you can only compare people done on the EXACT same mustang in the EXACT same way, not Mustang to Mustang, it's good for seeing what you've gained if you do a baseline, but crap for comparing to others

Fact is they are in TX while we are in SLC, which has slightly more altitude, and we are running 91 octane. These factors along with dyno settings all have an effect on what the dyno shows. This is why dyno results are not really comparable, they are only good to show you where you started and where you are now on that particular dyno. Change dynos and the results are sure to change.

those factors are very slight. theyd affect na cars more than our turbocharged cars. as for the 91 oct don't see that making much of a diff unless your stock ecu has diff. maps for oct.

your cars are low cause the weight is not correct. modern really needs to get the real weight specs on cars b4 they dyno them. but i'm not surprised they would just guess. the weight of the car really isn't that important.

I call BS too, I really just think they like to pretend they know how Evos work... sure, it's a lot like the old Eclipses... but it's a whole new game... How many Evos have they had in there that have boost leak, or a faulty solenoid? How can they be so sure that that's my problem or not? This is why I'd take it to, well, why I'm gonna take it down and have Jared check it out... Are you gonna be there too Scott? And does ANYONE have a stock Evo I can ride in/MAYBE drive, just to see if Ray is indeed correct?

How does the weight effect the mustang dyno? I am asuming it is used in the calculations to come up with the trq and hp #'s. So a low weight would drive down the hp? Just wondering, if anyone knows.

check this post out... https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...ghlight=weight

also i've never dynoed a car but i assume there is someone sitting in the car to operate it right?

btw, i corner balanced mine (yellow) and i remember it was just over 3300 with a full tank. i have on paper somewhere but i doubt i'll find it.

Yeah, well, it's too late now, all I wanted the dyno for anyway is to see what I had gained... not to compare to other peoples'...
Ok, so, someone answer me this: Doesn't the ECU control the solenoid? And, is it possible that pulling a few fuses/removing the battery cables for a while will fix it, that is, if it's not a leak of some sort?

Not if the solenoid is bad.

Dyno needs a built in scale to get accurate #'s for the calculations
