Last ebay part came in today!!!!

Can you say Carbon fiber hood????

price: $199 plus shipping
style: exactly like oe except the opening has an aluiminum mesh. you can see the motor.
qaulity: 8 out 10 (10 being best)
fitment: 10 out 10 couldn't fit any better
looks: phucking awesome

well needless to say i am extremely happy. i took the chance and it paid off. to make myself feel better since i'll be doing high speeds, i put some hood-pins in. the phucker is solid! the only real complaints is the vent area could've been done a little cleaner. i may swap out the oe vent but the aluminum mesh matches everything else on my car. going in to it i knew the stock hood was light and knew the cf hood might not be much lighter. well it felt either the same or a little heavier. but i didn't buy it for weight. it's all about the looks baby!!! it took just under 4 weeks to get it. i totally lucked out cause i didn't think i'd get it till next week and while i was getting a clearbra put on, i got a call from work and told me my hood came in. i ran there and got it and installed it as they were still clearbraing my car. i needed it on so they could do that too otherwise i would've had to go back.

anyway, jake, i think you'll be jealous. and since i am happy with it there's no way i'm gonna sell it to you for a hundred bux.

oh and my 17x10 enkei rpf01 finally arrived from japan at enkei in texas. i should have them by tuesday. that should be the last piece of the puzzle. my race seasons about to be kicked off!!!! WOOOOO HOOOOOO!!! yes i am happy but i better not get my hopes up. things have gone too well so somethings bound to happen. probably during the tune.

That's a good thing that it looks good, cuz then there'd be something else for Scott to install on my car (j/k Scott!) And yeah, we knew about the tune 3 months ago, not all of us knew we'd have the money now 3 months ago. Pump will DEFINITLY be here by Saturday morning, but maybe even late Friday... The K&N, I'm not sure about, it should be here tomorrow, but the tracking just shows it still in transit...

I didn't dealy things on purpose. Last time I wanted exhaust parts while I was in Taiwan I asked for them and I brought them home with me on the plane.

When I was there way back in December I asked for a bunch of 3 in parts. They don't do 3 in normally so they had to make it all custom for me. It was done in January and I was planning on returning to Taiwan in Jan and bringing it back with me. Then the Jan trip got cancelled. So the parts went on a container and across the ocean in a SLOW boat.

Now our shipping company sucks, and I want to kill them. The parts have been sitting out by Tooele at the Union Pacific railway for 4 days.

I'm done now.\

So should I be there at like 8:30 tomorrow to buy an MBC and then wait till you're done Scott and we can go party? And then my fuel pump should be here early to middle of tomorrow. Or what's the full plan, how's this going down?

Buying the MBC at 8:30 isn't going to do you any good untill 11 after I'm done, but if that is how Al wants you too, then be there early. After I am done with my tune, we can go install your MBC. We can just do it at your house so that when the fuel pump comes we aren't at an exit on I-80. I will bring all my tools down with me considering yours are slim pickings. And no we cannot attach your fuel pump or MBC with Duct Tape. That will cost you a bit extra.

I am going to show up around 8:30-8:45

Dang, I wanted to duct tape my fuel pump... Yeah, Al sounded like he wanted to pick it up before or after all the tunes, or in one of the break periods, so I might as well stop by at around 8:30 so I can buy it real fast and get out of the way so Al can do his business

I was planning on showing up early but now I have no idea. On the chance my exhaust shows up, my last chance to weld it up is saturday morning. So if that happens I'll show up later in the afternoon.

We'll pray for you and your exhaust Jared... Oh, and it looks like my K&N probably won't be here, should I borrow someone's for the tune, or just not worry about it?

Borrow someones.

Almost 100% that the exhaust won't be here. But I'm not getting a custom tune so it really doesn't matter. I just wanted to have it, and be done with everything.
