Ok you guys need some help, first off EVERYONE at Modern is freaking awesome, and trust me...I've had A LOT of experience with them. At first they all treated me like everyone else does: some bratty spoiled little boy, that's gone now and they're awesome. The only complaint I have is a complaint that they can't really fix, it's called: "Hire more people and get a bigger garage" If they were as expensive as they are but I could bring in my car any time and they could tune it and what not, I'd be fine, but having to have an appointment 2 weeks in advance is a little ridiculous, but understandable (I'd rather have to wait 2 weeks and have someone like Eric work on my car than to not wait at all but have some smelly guy named Jesus work on my car)
And on top of that, has anyone else been up to Brighton's parking lot?

Make 10000000's of pages.

Ask Ben about Brighton's parking lot in his WRX...good-bye tranny.

Modern is the best shop in Utah, and because of that I'm sure they wax their own trophy a little too much. As far as them treating you awesome once you get to know them... it's a business, you spend lots of money there, they like you.

I ran those all winter last year and it is getting about time to go back to them now. I was affraid it was going to snow this weekend while I was down there and I would have been screwed.

Saturday, that was the RX7 dyno day right? Yeah, I was there with my dad buggin' them about his S2000. And if it was the early morning like around 9-10 then it was him driving it cuz I was still asleep. And yeah, I guess you have a point, when daddy spends way too much money on his car the place he spent it tends to treat you better. Anyone else think we should all get together for a drive or something sometime? Last time someone tried to do that it kinda failed (if I remember right), but if we get enough people who wanna go, we should all go!

So, tell us all what happened with the whole warranty situation on your evo. Did mitsubishi finally ball up and take care of it, or did you guys get screwed?? Did you get a whole new lowend, or did you just take care of the problem???

Whoa, first off that wasn't Modern that replaced the engine, lol. You think we'd pay the extra money per hour over dealership for a simple stock for stock engine swap? I've spent 250 at Modern on my car for a turbo timer/boost gauge, that's it. Second off we blew the engine cuz the dealer we bought it from were a bunch of dumb***es and didn't tell us to check the oil every freakin day for the first few thousand miles. All my money has gone to Car Concepts for the stereo system. And I'd like to think that it wasn't autocrossing that blew it, since there are people out there tracking them with absolutly no problems at all. And as for Liberty's question pretty sure we just got screwed and had to pay for the engine, but ever since that the guys at the dealership are REALLY nice (probably because we spent 8k on them fixing a problem that even they said shoulda been warrentied)

Yeah, that is garbage. What actually went wrong with the motor? No oil, bad oil pump, throw a rod? For all that money why didn't you put a built motor in?

ugh, did you happen to listen to all the exhausts on the way up there, between ben ZACH, and I there were three catless exhausts that make a lot of noise, my guess is old man river would be showing up with his shotgun....lol
