With the snow we've gotten lately ... these flaps are getting the tough cold weather workout. So far they've held up well ... and have seen a few scrapes here and there from the infamous parking lot angles.
Enjoy,

So I finally got my service recall done for the cooling unit on my evo. It went pretty well, and I thought I would relate my story for anyone concerned about going to southtowne mitubishi.
The first time I went they didn't have any of the parts they needed, so they ordered them in and let me know when I could bring my car back. Well, just this past friday, I went back down there and they had the parts. They put my car in the service bay, but about and hour and a half later my car was still in there. The service manager (Jason) told me he thought it would be a few more hours, and he had set up a rental car for the time being. The girl from enterprise came over and needed a deposit on the car, but I don't have any credit cards and I didn't brind any cash with me, so Jason pulled some money out of his pocket and gave it to her. Everything went pretty smooth after that and I picked up my car a few hours later. Needless to say I was impressed with the good service I got. The first time I drove the car the idle seemed to stumble just a little, and the SRS light came on, but then it quickly went away, and nothing like that has happened since. I figure its probably related to some adjustment they had to do when working on the cooling unit, and the ecu had to quickly recalibrate itself the first time I started the car.
Well, thats about all for now,
Adios

Dang that sucks. I could chnage that cooling unit in under 30 min. I have taken it out twice before. I wish they would just give me the parts and let me do the labor myself. I hate taking my car into places. I am just to picky i guess.

Did they come with mounting brackets?
Yeah I don't want to take my car in for the work i would just like them to give me the part.
I went and played in the snow yesterday and filled my wheels full of snow/ice. When I got on the freeway today my car was shakin' so bad I had to pull into a pressure wash area and hose down my wheels. Lesson: don't let snow stay on your car for more than a day.
Ho-Ho-Ho... headstuds and fuel pump on their way...I also hear that Old Santa Claus e knows DynoFlash!

They were replacing a couple of other things as well, though I don't think they should have taken a whole lot longer. And I can't believe it would take Mistubishi 20 or 30 minutes to change the little knob in the car, it wouldn't even need to go into the shop. I think it was something under the hood because they needed it in the shop. Maybe they were just screwing with me though and wanted to check my car for mods (I doubt it). Anyway, it did take a while, but I was still impressed with their service.
