Wait a sec, does that mean you got rid of the civic and bought an Evo again already?

 

I tried to get my zeitronix hooked up, and just had it hooked up to power, and ground, and the boost source. It wouldn't work. There was a guy at the dynoflash tune that had his hooked up on his IX, but im not sure how. Mine had power but just wouldnt read boost. Now that the IX harness is available, do you think that with the harness it will work properly. I am about to send it back for a check-up, but was just wondering if any of you had an idea.thanks

 

if theres a new harness out for the Z. then chances are it will work ok....maybe a check on the manufact. specs to double check?

 

Dam that sucks for me I wanted some local used parts oh well. hey bullfrg good choice i wish I could have found a used evo that I knew was babied.

Hey EvolvedGTI, I think you are talking about me. Just a question for you. It's dumb, but I'm going to ask, did you run a hose to a vacuum source so you could read boost? I just ran a hose to the intake manifold through the firewall in the same location everyone on the forum is using, and connected it to the boost sensor and wired the sensor to the Z. There are instructions on Zeitronix.com about how to wire up the sensor. That is all I did and then I adjusted the boost for altitude. Hit me back with some questions if it still isn't working.

I tried searching through a few pages for anyone who can do a flash in utah but i lost patience. So i'll ask is there anybody in town that can give me a flash that know what they are doing?

 

Not real dirty, I actually washed it one day this week. Need to figure out why part throttle boost seems to cause the car to stutter. It is like it is dumping boost, weird. If you gun it though this car is crazy fast.

gymclasshero: as far as I know, there is no one in UT that does that. Should be more comman now though with the ecuflash software that is free.

Jeremy, I think it's just the BOV causing the shutter. Try a first gen DSM valve on it.

I am going to try my Evo 9 BOV first and then if that does not solve it I will get a 1g per everyones advice.

Ive noticed two evo's parked at a business right around the corner from my work. one appers to be a gg MR and the other is a yellow 8 gsr. Its on 500w
Just wondering if those ppl are on here?
