Utah Evos
GT Live was pretty cool, but I spent most of the day watching the west track action and in the garage with Munoa, Turbo Laboratories and RallySportDirect guys. Mostly because my Suby friends were in that garage (Jeremy and Tyler). I am pretty sure there's lots of guys there that hang on these forums. I think I met some of you. Adam was cool cause he talked to me a few times, and I don't even own an evo or suby, yet.
I got a free shirt from Turbo Labs, maybe Joe was his name, the dude in the beastly NSX turbo. I got a couple of positive comments from people in the grandstands about the NSX because I was wearing the shirt. I just told them, yeah, its got like a 1000hp EVO engine in it.
not really
Thanks to all the cool guys there. There were like 7 evo's I counted I think. Someday, I hope to join the ranks of Utah's cool track rats. Any know of someone looking to buy a '94 Mustang GT that burns oil, leaks coolant, no a/c and has a broken drivers seat bracket?

Never said it was you...I think it was an R32. Kart track, that makes more sense now. Probly a lot of noobs over there as well...
Did cobbs car run in the time attack? Didn't see it saturday. Too bad the ams car broke, it looked fast yesterday, as fast at least as the crawford car, although there were faster times put down yesterday as well.

The carbon fiber cobb car doesnt even have a motor in it it is just a shell that they take around and show off it shold be done by next racing season though.
The ams car didnt break, they were just saving it for the actual time attack event that was tonight. the ams car is at least 2 seconds per lap faster than the crawford sti. the ams evo was posting THE fastest lap times in its class yesterday and it was looking like it was going to win the event today. the only cars running faster times were the porsche's running on michilin slicks while in the class that the ams car was running in they were required to run DOT tires. plus yesterday in testing they had the boost down around 23 psi and when they actually raced tonight (which i didnt catch) they were running over 30 psi.
I used to say the same thing Riley, then this year there have been multiple Evo's at the events I have been to. Maybe it will be that way in UT this year too. I would try and make that event but there is an event at the Pocatello airport I need to attend.
it was an r32 if you are talking about the silver vw.

I had a clock on both of those cars on saturday and they were only about a second apart with the crawford car with the advantage. Not hating, just info. That car was one of the faster ones, no doubt.
I wasn't talking about the carbon car, i was talking about the clock one. It was supposed to run, but i didn't see it during practice. Just wondering if it ran at all.

That black porsche is amazing! I saw it run a few times on sat and it was fast.
I saw that cf cobb car. The cf didn't look great, it was sanded down all over. I guess they're going to paint it. I dig the raw cf cloth look.

Alright, one more post and I'll get off. I know Newbies that don't even own a japanese car, even less, not an evo doesn't get much respect. But, Tyler, one of my suby friends said this saturday. I asked, what have they done to make 400hp and he said, "For evo's, you just blow it a kiss, and it will make 400 hp". I'd loved it. Alright, later.
The GT Live event was awesome. Adam, Eficker, and Joe were tearing it up out there. The NSX sound mean as hell and everyone watching loved it. The Evo guys can drive. You guys stayed with the NSX pretty good. I wish that I could dive like that. I need to get a good track car one day and start practicing. I am going to get a Shifter or Rotax kart first and do some racing in that first. It was cool to see so many people out there on Saturday, but Sunday was alot less of a turnout. Good to see every one out there I was the one with the black Geneva Rally shirt on and had no voice. I still can't talk very well.
What car? I tune Evo's, not so much dsm's.
Hi all,
Here goes my first post...
I've bought a new clutch/flywheel and need to get it installed in my Evo. Can anyone recommend a good place in SLC? I done some searching, but not sure how out of date the advice is. Roughly how much am I looking at and how long will it take?
Thanks!

I called in that black flag request. You're a tool, and a danger on track. This isn't a race, your times can afford the extra .10 per lap that keeping within the rumble strips sacrafices in the name of much improved safety. Bi-otch.
