It was not joe's car that caught fire it was brandons S2000 which could not race due to it being convertable.

It was definitely fun but made me realize i need more track time to get good. My car was fast but could have been much faster with a mote experienced driver.

Ficker let me know how much you want for one your tow hooks(I would like to powder coat it black instead of red unless this is against the rules)

Joe's car caught fire last year Ben... Before Erich even had his Evo... Joe was talkin smack on the Evo's and how unreliable they are... then about an hour later he was running around with his shirt off trying to put out the flames... In the middle of the track.

And the Rotax and Shifters (from what I here) are the sux EvoIV... KT100 is supposed to be more fun because you can touch the kart (you can't mod Rotax at all except a few very minor things) and not get disqualified, plus since they have a little less hp/tq they take a little more driver skill (kinda like a Miata compared to a Maserati/M5/or the similar 5000lb grandma cars with a gagillion hp).

Anyway, I had a lot of people ask me why I was selling the car and about half of the 100 cards I made were missing, but no real biters... Anyone wanna buy it yet?

 

i went last year too. they aren't doing it though this year. i did go to the vegas grand prix though.

 

anyone do that drift day event they had goin on down there by chance? while waiting in the gt sim line there was a kid behind me with his father from pittsburg who flew out here, paid $600 bucks, learned to drift a 240 and went through 2 sets of tires for about a 5 to 7 hour session, cant remember exactly what he said. Sounds like an awesome time nonetheless, apparently that drifting school follows the gt live event to my understanding?

Whoa, easy there, Riley, orem crew and fire? I don't want to be lumped into that category. Cars rarely catch fire in my experience. Most of the time it is due to some mechanical failure.

Joe's car did catch fire the last time, he had an exhaust gasket fail and it burned up the harness, could happen to anyone. Brandon's S2k caught fire for a similar reason, but mostly because he is running an ebay exhaust manifold.

I have never caught fire, nor adam. I think those are the only two that did.


Nope, whatever color you want is fine. I will also have removeable tow hooks available, but they are not as sexy. Lets call it $20 for the stainless and you can paint it any color you want. Same goes for anyone else that wants one, I have like 20.

Actually I think that was the first day i had my evo at the track, if i'm not mistaken.

Evos = reliable = no fires

the supra's wireing harness or something melted and all of the coat on all of his electrical wireing had melted off. pretty mean car thought single turbo the guys said he made over 600whp...

 

hey adam i guess there was a supra on your dyno today? i heard from a friend that it made like 410whp with just an exhaust boost controller tune and intake. thats insane! when i get old i am totally going to buy a supra as a daily driver freeway raper car
