The Ultimate 2009 Ralliart Thread mega merge
For Canadians, another vague date:
Sat. Mar. 8 Toronto Star newspaper Wheels section:
"Mitsubishi is showing an all-but-production-ready Lancer hatchback concept called the Prototype-S, which is an essential model for the European market, and would probably do well in Canada.
Whether we will ever get the hatchback in Canada remains to be seen, but we will get the show car's intercooled and turbocharged, 2.0L MIVEC four-cylinder engine in the Lancer Ralliart sedan that will go on sale here this summer."

Someone posted this a few pages back and I think it may have been overlooked.

According to that pic, the RalliArt is coming with AYC as well as ASC and ACD. These, of course, are probably printed by the dealer representing Mitsubishi at that show and are, probably, typos but, since we haven't heard official in either direction, it's still something we can keep our fingers crossed for.
Also, I read some concern about the TC-SST transmission's ability to support power upgrades...
I heard that the RalliArt used the same TC-SST found in the EvoX. If it's identical, it would stand to reason that it could at least support the same power and torque figures put down by the EvoX. Beyond that is anyones guess.
Please don't take any of this as fact though. I'm going purely off 'news' clips and articles which have generally been rumor and hearsay. More than anything else... It's just something to think about.

so with these green p-shops...is this a confirmed production colour? I know we don't have any specs, but green would be such a weird colour and would likely be the least bought colour.
the blue and white look pretty nice, based on evo x pics, the RA would look bad *** in these colours. Black and silver are the next best choices.
do you guys think the RA would also come out in the yellow that the current RAs are sold in?

Good catch on that pic but I'm pretty sure it's a typo like you said. Mitsu needs to keep costs down on the RA to compete with the WRX so I doubt AYC will be offered. Also, they need to differentiate the Evo and RA enough to separate prospective buyers. Plus many of the net articles we've seen mentioned that the IX drivetrain will be offered with only ACD.
