Thanks I will definetly be enjoy the blandness of a WRX. I will definetly be enjoying the 265 hp. You talk about amby being a fanboy of WRX which is at least renowned , well you are a ralliart fanboy that hasn't really been able to backup its worth

Thanks. Congrats to you too on your purchase. What do you like best in the ralliart? I really want to test drive one. I wasn't going to purchase a car until I test drove both Ralliart and 09 WRX but the WRX just had exactly what I wanted for the price plus 28 hp more than the ralliart. I just wanted a sunroof with good seats and decent sound system. The WRX had all that and at a price Iwouldn't be broke.

The WRX really doesn't look bad in person. I love the look with the wider wheels.

I test drove both and i'll admit the WRX was a more nimble car probably because of its lighter weight and wider tires. But the interior of the Ralliart, i felt, was nicer. The steering wheel felt great, and the transmission was freakin awesome. One thing i'd really like to change though is the wheels and tires on the Ralliart. They just seem too heavy and way too narrow for an AWD turbo vehicle. Once coilovers are released for it i'll probably try and squeeze some 235's-245's under it.

How are you liking the WRX thus far? Since the WRX too has narrow fenders, what kind of tire size are you able to fit in there? Subaru definitely did a good job with it.

Yep, and the stiffer suspension, stronger brakes and slick transmission all add up to a bland car.

I went and looked at the 09 WRX again today. I am liking it the more I see it. The Mitsu dealer by me went belly up in July so it is about a 1/2 hour drive to the next one. The Subie dealer is 5 min. away. That is something I need to consider also.

The WRX is more sleeper looking compared to the RA. RA is way more sporty looking and aggressive with the X hood. The Subie could benefit from a different hood but I know that is there trademark. Other than the hood, I think the WRX just looks like any other car. The gray wheels are awesome in person. Too bad the RA did not come with the gunmetal in the pre production pics.

Yeah that would have been nice.

Question how long do we keep our cars stock?

an advantage of 28 horsepower can be negated by a few cheap mods. handling can be improved with a tire/suspension change. not many of us stay stock for long so the external sheetmetal is personal preferece imho.

And doing that voids your warranty.

And if you do the same to the WRX, you get more also. That is why TTP needs to get a RA. That is the only mod that looks to be invisible to a dealer.

Exactly, I love how people say you can just mod the RA to keep up with the stock WRX as if the WRX is unmoddable. It's like people who argue that you can mod an STI to be as fast as a Porsche therefore the STI is as good as the Porsche, given a choice, I would still take the Porsche.

To each their own. This thread needs to be closed.

Why, because you don't like it? There isn't any flaming going on and it's on topic.
