Car and Driver Comparo is out
Ya know? I think we have bigger things to worry about than cars. I love cars. But if this recession turns into a depression...well, poop.
I was so stoked about an RA SB cuz I test drove an RA yesterday, now I'm bummed. Who even cares about the RA WRX rivalry anymore? WACK!

Don't let all the doom and gloom get you down. But I agree, now is not the smartest time to think about buying a new car. I personally blame the media for hyping the bad economy and then the bailout for scaring the **** out of everyone. As Winston Churchill once said..."and this too shall pass".

...this is where I pulled my data from...same source.
not sure why "all the numbers" makes any difference. If a car line went up relative to a failing truck line, the manufacturer, in this market, won't have time to retool. It will simply fold. And that's why the Big 3 is getting "bailout" loan money from the GOV, so it can retool and shift operating costs.

Again, don't believe all you hear and read. There is a lot of politics and money to be handed out. I am skeptical that any bailout was necessary. I am a little worried that we are somehow selling out freedom under the guise of the environment and economy. Hang in there.
I am personally waiting to check out the new Genesis Coupe. It is RWD only but with the Mitsu block (yes they turn it horizontal), 6 speed manny, brembo brakes and a supposed cheap price, I say it is worth a look. Especially since Buschur is taking one on for some R&D. I see big numbers brewing on that one. I saw a turbo swap that was making 360whp in Korea. Nothing to sneeze at for a DD that should be close to 25k even after mods.
Check this out. 3200-3300 lbs curb weight also.

Businesses shutting down or laying off massive amounts of employess, the Government fighting 2 wars AND trying to pass LARGE stimulus bills while handing out foreign investor's subsidized loans, negative housing sales and halted construction projects, wage freezes, wildly fluctuating futures markets...all those things by themselves, sure, are scary media hype pieces. All together?
Skeptical or not, the reasons and chain of events leading up to this malaise may just be too much to undo, even for Churchill's wise observances. Something is going to change...and not for the better. Obama or not, here it comes.
I like my Forester...I most likely will just keep it. I don't do coupes...anymore.

I do agree that the Genesis Coupe looks better but the Eclipse is a panty dropper, atleast over here. My homeboy got a break from a lady cop cause she like his 07. And he was driving with an expired license, tag and no insurance. I know plenty of chicks that love it.
