getting 21 in the city now.
car has 1100miles on it.
think that is great for an AWD car.

 

ya, I'm hoping its just the engine break-in period. I just broke 400 miles today.

 

just hit 3500 miles a few days ago.....MPG goes up with every thousand miles it seems. Im usually in the mid 22's

 

I get 20 in my Honda Ridgeline. It is AWD also. So 21 is not great IMO. And my Ridgeline is WAY bigger.

 

I get 25 MPG or higher sometimes and I'm AWD and have more power. I'm fairly convinced though that a simple tune will increase the fuel economy dramatically.

 

The Lancer GTS was getting 26mpg in the city FWD/non turbo and the R/A is getting 21-22/city AWD Turbo at 19psi w/o tune and that is not good?
I would say it is.
The GTS is excellent in gas and the R/A is 6mpg shy from the GTS?
now i agree with the tune, and more hp to counter the weight of the car, yes, you should get a better MPG. But on a non-tune car in comparison to the GTS.
I still say that is pretty damn good.

My boy has a 2008 AWD RIDGELINE and the sticker says it gets 15mpg/city and the real time driving is getting 11-17mpg/city.

 

I'm just shocked that the RA is running 19 PSI, that doesn't give you much room to expand. It also doesn't translate for me, a WRX running 14ish PSI from a TD04-13T makes 224 HP (2.0 L model) yet a Ralliart running 19 PSI with a larger turbo makes about the same power? Something doesn't add up.

 

sounds like the RA needs just as much fuel like the X GSR.

 

Yet it makes what, 60 less HP? Something very peculiar is going on.

 

maybe the SST , I dont know how much the X MR use though.

Mine is an 06 with 50k. I have NEVER gotten below 18MPG on a tank since owning it for 38 months now. And I drive hard every day.

 

I was planning on going with the FP red turbo on my EVO X . TTP do you think there will be a demand for the stock EVO X turbo for owners to put on the Ralliart

 

How many miles is the break in peroid? My salesman told me to not use cruise control or WOT til 300 miles.

 

The recommended break-in procedure and mileage is in the owners manual. Just follow it and you'll be fine. I haven't seen a new vehicle in a long time that doesn't list the break-in recommendations.
