Ralliart vs the world
The new genesis coupe with the 4b11 cousin is making 197whp and 227wtq according to Inside Line - http://blogs.edmunds.com/straightlin...hotopanel..2.*
This car is looking pretty good - I wonder what kind of times it'll run. Out of curiosity, how much is the RA making to the wheels? Should be a bit less, with the awd right?

a RA with a flash can beat a mazdaspeed 3
you gotta remember when you look at 1/4 mile times from reviews the people driving in the review are good at what they do.
lets say some random kid brings his ms3 to the track... his times will probably be way off what the car is "supposed to run" with the RA as long as you get a decent launch down its failproof after that.
edit: just looked at insideline... and they rate the 1/4 mile for the ms3 at 14.2... the RA stock is like 14.3 or something so it should be close even if its stock vs stock

the MP3 would be behind a bit off the line, from wheelspin, but im sure it will catch up, always wanted to race one with my GTI flashed but never got the chance to

i think it would be a pretty good race in auto-x type race too. the ms3 is fwd and has torque steer (and any power mods will only make it worse)... so maybe the RA (where you can keep both hands on the wheel when cornering, let the car downshift itself and you have awd) could keep pace in a race like that, even with poor tires. any course with long straights is where the RA would definitely be passed.
Torque-steer isn't that big of a deal, realistically you can't go full throttle with either car in a corner. From what I remember, Car and Driver or Road and Track did such a comparison and the MS3 still came out ahead.
Full throttle + turn = going straight.
For example, Eddie Griffin + Ferrari Enzo + Full Throttle = Hello, Mr. Cement Barrier!
Eddie Griffin & Ferrari Enzo
Wheels turned, but he's still going straight
. Poor Enzo....Same concept in any car essentially, AWD does make it a little easier to get that turn going - but its still unwise for full throttle in any cornering situation.

i was thinking full throttle coming out of a corner not going in... but yeah i see what you mean. once you get used to torque steer and prepare for it to happen its probably no big deal
