AMS F1 vs Magnus V5
again IMO a shop who performs the test should have no affiliation with any shop who is providing the manifolds. not dissing anyone but sharks car is all AMS almost. sean ivey is a lot AMS. some guys need to open there eyes here. i would have a shop with a dyno and a proper car do the test. its the only way without someone favoring one company.
p.s. that wilson manifold for over 2k better come with a tech to put it on the car and make my damn breakfast for a year

You guys are disrespectful to question that sean would be favored to AMS simply because he sells AMS. It doesn't matter what the test car is as long as the test is conducted properly with all the right datalogged items. Granted it cant be a car in poor working order or have any issues.
Hello that would be impossible!!! Every shop has an affiliation with some company in one way or another otherwise they wouldn't have any parts to see. I have never seen one shop on here or anywhere else that isn't a dealer for something.

i did not. so do not put words in my mouth. i simply said a shop who has no connection to the company's at play here. ets i dont think sells di, ams, magnus, or whatever else was questioned. there are a lot of shops who do not deal with them companys. yes they can order the parts and sell them to there customers but there not dealers if you follow what im saying.
fnd where i said word for word sean is dishonest or that he would lean more on AMS's side???

It was implied by what you said...
Having a shop that would volunteer for this is good enough, you can't just force/ask a shop to do something they don't care or want to do.
It not about having a shop that has no affiliation do it, but a qualified and knowledgeable person. The datalogging alone to make sure this is a true test is complicated and not just something anyone can do.

i simply said an outside company should do a test like this. to avoid unknowing people of Ivey or any company who is a dealer to any of these parts feeling like the test was messed with. or for the company's that come out sucking from getting bent and thinking Sean messed with the test. i could care less who does it. i know ivey will do it right but others may think not. its the unknowing and sad faced loosers in the test that will ***** and say someone messed with it. IMO an outside party would avoid that. is that a bit more understanding? or did i somehow say sean ivey sucks again??
Send them here to IS Motor Racing in Sydney, Australia.
Ill test them on my 2.3L, Built Head + Trust T67 equiped car. I currently have a MAP REV 3 ported mani, so it would be good to see the differences..
Thats if you guys are keen! ISMR has no affiliaton with either company.

If Sean Ivey is willing to do the test, I think he is the right person to do it, he can decide on which car he will do the test, second option is force-fed performance, lets get this done.
I like alot of the Manis out there..
JM FAB, Buschur, Hypertune (probably the best as far as being well thought out with amazing machining, o-rings etc), Driven Innovations... they all work great.

I don't need anyones permission to do a test.
I do not like anyone questioning my integrity. But I would ask the various companies if they want to be involved.
Shark's car isn't a good candidate due to dual fuel rails and all the complexity involved.
I have the Wilson v2, on a car with a BR motor and headgames head, with BR fmic etc.
It has a fullrace turbo kit and aem. Made 600hp at 29-30psi on Pump fuel only. 700hp on race.
I may ask the owner and he may allow me to use it to test.
The issue is now time, as I had planned to do the testing but we are very busy with work.

I am down to send my manifold to you guys. I can also include the boomb TB that I have. I would actually like to include it and have you test both of them, unless this would throw the test totally off.
What I don't want to see is any people or shops that agree to this to back out. That would be unfair to the waiting masses. There have been tons of test on turbo kits, cams, filters, exhausts, blah blah but nothing has really been done with a really in-depth test of all the IM's that are on the market.

Just finished back to back testing of the AMS f1I, vs the Wilson V2 intake mani.
Car is still strapped to the dyno for backup tests.
AMS F1I Intake manifold stock Tbody, replaced Wilson V2 stock Tbody. Edit 65mm BR Tbody
AMS fuel rail
BR 2.3
BR double pumper.
BR IC and Pipes, race core
BR 3" exhaust
Kelford 280 deg cams
Headgames head, Race ported.
HKS DLI, stock coils.
Full race 4088 Turbo kit twin scroll, twin tial 44mm WG
AEM EMS
1000cc Bosch Injectors (ID)
Wire tuck by my Tech Will! :-)
Before with the previous setup we were stuck around 604-602 wheel a few days go, after putting the AMS intake on WITHOUT DOING ANY TUNING AT ALL, at same 30psi boost had to be upped on the AEM boost controller, it belted out 63x, cooled it a bit and ran again 64x.
This is all done on 93 octane pump gas, and before anyone starts their nonsense this isn't an absolute test, your results could vary, but I believe that it shows a certain tendency.
We also tested between 2 different sets of cams back to back on this car, but we are not sure we are going to release the results.
For those in the area the car is still on the dyno.
Same gas, same boostleak test before both tests, temps similar. This is not a lab but we are trying to keep everything as similar as possible.
