people suggest this a lot, and it's such a good alternative to what I and some others did....just threading a barb into the pan. The one concern I have, is that what you linked is steel, and I'm fairly sure the pan is aluminum. On other things, I have tried welding non-like metals, and I never could make it happen with any reliability. You might make sure it will work, or perhaps get an aluminum bung (After you confirm that's what you need...don't take my word as anything but a slight suggestion)

As far as tuning goes, didn't spike say you could flash teh evo rom? Any access to ecuflash via nearby friends to confirm or deny that it works?

I haven't tried it yet. I actually haven't even saved my stock rom yet. I'm hoping I do that this weekend.

For the return I used one of these http://www.amazon.com/Earls-984410-A.../dp/B000CN7FLM along with some steel braided 5/8" hose....like this, but not the exact link http://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/pr...S&currency=USD

for the feed, I have a ...I think, -4AN Straight 90 Degree Stainless Turbo Oil Line 42", is what my e-mail from them says. so basically, it's a 90 degree on one connector, and straight on the other end. I put the 90 degree on the adaptor used in the hex screw above the oil filter (So if you oil sandwich, you don't really want this 90 degree).

So I went out and tried to read my stock ROM but I was unable. This are what came up:

The ecuflash home page:

after clicking on the read ecu icon:

The folder in ecuflash is set up to read off the mitsubishi/lancer folder in OpenECU where the definition files are saved. User level is set to developer on ecuflash as well.

Is there not a definition file for my ECU, it's a 2005 ES automatic.

Hmm...

In that first screen shot you will notice that its throwing errors for the file evo7base.xml probably from the lancer folder in rommetadata. While I can't say for sure its possible the program just stopped reading xml's including the read templates folder becuase of these errors.

Copy the evo7base.xml from the evo folder into your lancer one and see if that first screen shot doesn't throw any more errors.

BTW you'll want a copy of my read templates as well to get the whole 512kb rom off your ecu.

I think it puts the wrong flashing method in for some cars but that wont stop it from reading.

If you got trouble with it I can just make a specific OCP method one for it
