after some searching i found ecuflash version 1.29a and I also downloaded evoscan. Since I didn't see anything for a 2005 lances es AT on senates master definition file list does it matter at all or can I just download it?

There is no magic in evoscan just log it in the same way you would log an evo 8-9.

All you should have to do is install ecuflash and evoscan then plug the cable if your odbii port and computer and start logging.

well, and select the proper method of logging. Mine is like, Mut2 or something, but your 05 should be the same I think. Also, to get good numbers, change your injector size to 232....doesn't hurt anything if you don't, just makes the "injector duty cycle" meaningless if you log it...since it is comparing the fuel vs evo injectors.

You get errors or something? Can't start logging?

I haven't tried yet. I will tonight when I leave work. I have a good hour drive home so I will be driving and logging.

I don't want to waste an hour going home and not be able to log because I have never done it before.

so if I have it correctly I just need to plug the cable into the OBD2 port and to my computer, turn the car on and evoscan will start logging. Am I correct or do I need to do anything else.

Hornstar - I don't want to change anything yet since I barely know what I'm doing. I want to see and understand it first then start changing stuff in the rom. I should start putting everything on for the turbo either next week or the following week. I just need to get the ARP headstuds, gaskets and turbo lines.

Ok so I got evoscan to work so I'm good there. I will play more with it tomorrow.

Now my issue is with ECUflash. I have version 1.29a. I downloaded Senate's master def. list but when I extract them to the folder Openecu/romdata/mitsubishi/lancer (not exactly that but just to give you the idea) no files go into it.

Any ideas guys. Or is there an updated master def. files??

I extracted the file to the desktop first. Only one file came from it. For me somehow that file became corrupt. I just opened it up with winrar and its another zip file. The files you need are in there. It was basically a zip file in a zip file for me.

Also, when you guys were talking about shimming your turbo down because it was hitting something, where exactly did you do that on the turbo. I'd rather it be already shimmed down so I wont have to do it during the install. And this is a really dumb question but where exactly am I connecting my water/coolant lines too? It will most likely become appartent once I actually take off my manifold and see where it goes.

Also, the injector setting is right above where you see the info that you are logging and where you choose what you log. I think its set to 545 or something. Top right area of the selection screen. I dont have my laptop or desktop with me to show you exactly where it is. But its basically in the middle of your screen. It helps make sense of injector duty as hornstar stated. Otherwise they are scaled to big and your looking at data that makes no sense for your injectors.

now highlight that file and right click on it. do rename. add ".zip" to the name. Then open it with winrar. I couldnt open it with winzip for some reason. Same thing happened to me whether I used xp or win7.

just need quick clarification please...to save my stock ROM all I need to do is plug the cables in, open ecuflash, read from ecu, save as (say stock rom), correct??

when I save it do I need to save as anything specific, like stock rom.hex or anything like that or just save it however it comes up??

also what size is are the nuts that go on the exhaust studs?

the bolts that came with the speedcorps exhaust manifold do they fit the evo housing fine because they felt kind of tight when I tried to install them the other day??

o2 housing to downpipe bolts, what size bolts are those??

I'm gonna bolt up the turbo to a blown engine I have on an engine stand so that when everything is ready I can just transfer everything over to the car with minimal issues.

Thanks guys just trying to gather all the little things, I hate having to drive to the parts store several times, although I always end up doing just that.
