I just started piecing my kit together and I'd like to know as well. I thought it's only necessary for running high boost from all the reading I've done so far.

You can used your strainer off your stock fuel pump if you wish and have not had any issues with it. Been awhile since I did mine but I had to shave down the inside of the top of the housing I believe. Boost controller is not needed you will just be restricted to 5psi running the low spring.

Gotcha. Just completed my list. Now to start collecting the parts. Can someone explain the vacuum and coolant lines? Like where you are supposed to hook them up? Also where to purchase them. Still a little confused about this part.

my strainer has about 140k on it right now. I'll rather replacement with a new one you know.

So not boost controller right now.

The last thing that is major in my mind is the wideband. I have no idea what to get. I know I need a 52mm so that it will fit in my dual steering wheel pod and I want a digital one.

sweet!!!

got my tactrix cable today. How can you tell which one it is. On the cord it says v2.0 but the guy that sold it to me told me it was a 1.3 but didn't know which one. If it's a 2.0 it would still work right. I'll post a pic up of the cable in a little bit. The pic of the v2.0 will have to wait till tomorrow.

ya thats the 1.3 cable. its usb 2.0 prolly but thats the 1.3 cable. easiest way to tell is that the white "reflash" connector is attached to the obd 2 connector. the 2.0 has "plug ins" for their reflash connecotrs

if you plug it into ecuflash in the bottom right corner it should say what version it is. but you have to have the other end of the cable plugged into the car for that part to come up if i remember correctly. it will install the drivers automatically but im not sure if it will show the version with out it being hooked into the obd2 port on the car
