Well what can I say - dealr doesn't call me back so i call again (averaging 2 calls a day), is this obsessive - probably - however it is also due to promises that the car will be in every other day, jeez just tell me the car won't be in until 2005 and I can get on with my life.

On THX1138's earlier call of building up expectations - I think's it time i just let this thing go, I need to treat this as 'it gets here when it gets here'....seeya all, I'll post again when I'm in the driver's seat....

Great news! What colour and where are you? So, you going down to look at it and make sure everything is in order or let the dealer deal with it all and wait for the final delivery date. It's a hard one.

Rmm Rmmm good call. No need to stress yourself out about the whole thing. The car will come, let's hope before we are too old or the Evo XXVII arrives

I take it every one is picking up their cars without the trackers?

They can fit it at the 1500km service

For example, they have some very nice polished stainless steel 3 inch downpipes in the US$180-300 range, and top of the line HKS and Greddy exhausts, including the titanium models, for under $US900!
There is also a gorgeous centre dash gauge cluster pod that replaces the factory stereo location and allows you to fit triple gauges in it's place. It looks better than factory and (minus the gauges of course) costs US$175.00! They also sell a 'stereo relocation kit' that lets you move the stereo down where it should be. It's also cheap as chips at US$70.

You would go a long way to beat those prices, even when converted.

I have been pretty bold in my email and asked them if they can do any better on their prices considering they would be shipping to Oz, and that several owners from a very small pool may be happy to buy from them if the price is right.
Guys, just as a follow up to this, I called the manager of lancershop.com (Chris) in the States tonight and he was happy to do business with us, and could offer exceptionally good deals under what is listed on the site price-wise. However, he deals in volume - of course - and would want us to be ordering items all together and shipping them as one shipment.

He was a great guy and indicated he regularly ships to Australia and Europe via UPS, thus the freight can be tracked from one end to the other. We had a good chat about the Evo and he was amazed we would only get 100 initially. He asked about the AYC/ACD on Oz Evos and said that the recalls on the 6 speed boxes in Japan was alarmingly high. He said the 5 speed was a much better bet, so that was nice to hear.

What does everyone think? I've got an order almost prepared for a few grand in exhaust and gauges, and stereo relocation kit. I've been given his personal email and he said that he ships sameday when the item is in stock, as my exhaust items are. Takes about 8 days to arrive via UPS.

I am very interested in getting a Defi D-Gauge (mechanical) 52mm Boost gauge, black face and black bezel with a cup-holder (black). I know Lancershop do sell these but the stock may be an issue. Can you see if they have any for shipping with the other stuff, although you are on the other side of the country
BUT i am sure it'll still end up being cheaper with bulkd shipping from teh US.

Also if the shipping works out I am interested in getting the Cusco Oil Catch Can
http://www.lancershop.com/accessories.htm
Can you ask if it comes with everything for install, ie mountings?
and the Stainless Steel Brake lines

Thanks

THX, I know what gauge you are referring to - it's the same one I want! I think it's listed as being on 'backorder' at the moment, I have asked Chris about when stock is expected. I assumed the 'cup holder' is the mounting cup.

Don't worry about you being in WA - i'll be happy to send it on to you registered post for cost price.

Anyway, i've emailed Chris for you and will let you know when he comes back to me.
