First time at track... Quite happy

Hey guys, I just headed out to the local track here, Orlando Speedworld. This was my first time out and never realy launching before, I was kinda scared to break things. Here are my mods, Dynoed 371awhp, 398 awtq.

HKS 272 i/e Cams
Vishnu Adjustable Cam Gears
Vishnu Signature SS Exhaust
Helix Lower Intercooler Pipe
Forge UNOS Boost Controller
10.5 Hotside
SMC Methanol Injection Kit
EcuTek Tune
JDM MR Diverter Valve

The car is at 28psi, falling off towards redline. 100% meth, yada yada yada.

Here are the times:

1st Run
60ft- 1.812 Missed 2nd pretty bad
330- 5.737
1/8- 8.778
MPH- 85.05
1000- 11.286
1/4- 13.336
MPH- 110.64

2nd Run
60ft- 2.204 Bogged launch bad, slightly missed 2nd
330- 5.754
1/8- 8.570
MPH- 86.42
1000- 10.976
1/4- 12.997
MPH- 112.78

3rd Run
60ft- 1.952 Slightly bogged launch
330- 5.379
1/8- 8.144
MPH- 88.36
1000- 10.514
1/4- 12.497
MPH- 114.05

I think I did good considering it was my first time out. I was also happy that I did progressively better each time I ran. I think with my MPH, and a good launch, I could be in the 11's? What do you all think?

Thanks a lot! I plan on going back this week and hopefully doing better. It was a lot of fun.

With some 1.6-1.7 60ft's and some good shifting you should hit some 11's. Keep practicing

No, I wouldn't expect 11s quite yet, but if you start trapping 116+, then yeah. Your HP indicates that you are capable of 116-117mph, so once you get used to launching/shifting, you may see your trap speeds get up where they should be, and that will put you in the 11s pretty easily.

KMcconn9, you really shouldn't put that in your sig until you've done it. There's nothing worse than making claims like that in advance only to find out you fall far short. I'd keep it on the down-low until it actually happens. There's only a few stock turbos out there putting down more than 415whp...

I got a question, WARRTALON, what do you suggest for shiftpoints.... Anyone?

I personally use and recommend 7000-7200 on the 2-3/3-4 shifts without cams. With cams, it really depends on whether you have 264/272/280, but I usually recommend 7400-7500. For each car, it's different, and you have to find the optimum spot for yours.

The 1-2 shift is tricky, because I usually have to shift before 7000 after a really hard launch. I don't exactly know why, but after a full boosted launch, my car feels like it starts to die off very quickly, so I do a lightning-quick snapshift well before 7000rpm, but the rest of the shifts are done just after 7k.
