mrfred, the car idles and runs fine with the jdm sensor in it. I'm going to shower and then take it out for a ride to run some errands.

Here is my log of it idling from cold to full warmup

So the car drives just like normal, no issues on a 2003 Evo 8.

It took a while to throw a code but I did throw the following:

P1400 - Manifold Differential Pressure Sensor circuit.

That is pretty obviousl huh

I did some runs up to 22 psi and normal cruising...no issues

I thought you had to modify the ECU tables to allow for values outside the range of the stock sensor. Right now I just get a CEL everytime I boost high. mrfred is looking for the tables to modify.

I think found the tables. I would like to try out the fix on your ROM before I release the tables. Can you email me a zipped copy of your ROM?

The Evo 8 tables appear to be quite a bit different than the Evo 9. So I'm waiting to hear from Bez on a few questions. Hopefully, I'll get a reply from him by morning.
