Since this is the most active lean spool conversation, I wonder if anyone else has noticed the following trend:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...3&postcount=39

I am a bit leary with the fear that something odd will happen like this. I currently have enable/disable both at 2500. I guess I'll log IPW a bit and see if that happens... and if anyone has a better on/off setting let me know (these are the only things I've touched for this goal).

I set start/stop antilag @ 1500rpm. Everything is nice. Remapped fuel map and car now goes better. No stupid AFR's anymore.

Trying to add the 2-byte load XML-text, but when I open a ROM, the MUT-fields are grey and Ecuflash will not allow me to change them!

(Have it set to developer, and tried with different tables settings). Rom is 88840016, Ecuflash version 1.32.)

Not sure if these instuctions work on the 88840016 Evo IX Roms as I tried them and the values I got didn't seem to make any sense...

So I just put it back the way it was and am now using Mitsulogger because I need to log boost from my Zt-2

Maybe someone else who has done this to a 88840016 Rom can comment...

cheers
Sal

Oops ok just saw the post, will try it again tonight...

Add these two entries to your 88840016.xml ROM file:

----- (don't include the "-----")
<table name="MUT00 2-byte load MSB" category="MUT" address="377fa" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>

<table name="MUT01 2-byte load LSB" category="MUT" address="377fe" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>
-----

Then launch ECUFlash, open your ROM, and scroll down to the entries:

Change MUT00 from 6A09 to 6B22 (you'll have to enter it as 0x6B22).

Change MUT01 from 6A08 to 6B23 (use 0x.... again).

Save the ROM, and you're ready to upload it to your ECU.

Along with wrx_ua I have set all the cars I do at 1500 on/off. I thought maybe it was causing an errant high idle on cold start so I upped it to 2000 and it didnt really change anything. Keeping it at 1500 or so keeps any "deadspots" out of any rpm that you will be driving in. I never lug the car lower than 2100 or thereabouts so 1500 works well for me.

Anyone?
(Should it work with the PATCH: NLTS + Valet + KnockCEL ?)

This is a more reliable way to capture the true engine load being measured in the ECU than with the calculated methods used by EvoScan and Mitsulogger. This tutorial will address capturing the 2-Byte load via EvoScan.

How?
1.) Ensure that you have EvoScan v.99 installed along with ECUFlash v1.3.
2.) Next, update the ECUFlash XML file located at: C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlash\rommetadata\mitsubishi\evo\ 88590015.xml (or whatever Evo IX ROM ID you have)
using FrontPage or other XML editor to include the following two table entries so the code ends like this:

<table name="2 byte load high bit" address="3EE86" category="Misc" type="1D" level="1" scaling="uint16" />

<table name="2 byte load low bit" address="3EE8A" category="Misc" type="1D" level="1" scaling="uint16" />
</rom>

Save the changes.
3.) Open ECUFlash v1.3 and a version 15 ROM image. Scroll down to the Misc section and you'll see two new entries: "2 byte load high bit" and "2 byte load low bit."
4.) Enter 27458 as the value for "2 byte load high bit."
Enter 27459 as the value for "2 byte load low bit."
5.) Save the ROM file. Flash the ROM onto your IX and begin logging 2-byte load using EvoScan v.99.
So I just copy and paste these values anywhere in the ROM ID via XML editor?

I'd copy those 2 items right under the red line I've drawn in this image right?

Thanks!
