Lean Spool Disable?

I followed the instructions for disabling lean spool according to option 1. Only I changed the addresses to 1680 and 1684 (since I have an VIII ROM 94710014). I input 48 into both tables to disable lean spool.

My question is that the original maps for boost enhancement start/stop still exist in the ROM. Do I have to do anything to these?

Talking QUESTIONS to better understand tunning

From reading the whole thread I know the Lean spool - leans the AFR during spool 2500 - 7000 rpms by .7 - 1 point. why did the factory do this? rather than just disable it as we are doing?

When we disable it, we are going to be running .7 - 1.0 point richer than what the A/F MAP calls out for "on a stock evo" - so all we have to do it lean the map between 2500 - 7000 accordingly maybe by a whole 1.0 point or more.. ect...

What is "the spool area" of the maps? I rear sentence such as
12.5 during spool and 10.5 at WOT - what does this mean?

If we have a logger such a evocan or logwork which can trace a map, then we don't really need 2byte-load? or 2byte-rpm do we?

The map tracing is most accurate when using 2 byte load rather than load calc, so though we maybe don't need to see 2 byte load displayed on the graph, it can be most helpful when using auto map tracing.

No it's not real time. 2 byte load can be used to trace the route of the load through the map, in the same way it would use load calc, but 2 byte is considered more accurate. How do you think Evoscan does the map tracing now?

I would love to see something real time. When I had my civic (ep3) I used something called K-pro from hondada.com. well this ecu thing had real time tracing, it was really cool becuse you could see the cell you are hitting at you log.

in Re: to 2BL - if were to not log either loadCalc or 2Byte load then the tracer would not work?

I'd suggest keeping your eyes on the road and inspecting your map tracer logs afterward
