I turned on my car about 5 times today since I wrote the fix to the ECU and everything seems to be working great, no CEL here at all! The code would usually come up after the second start after deleting the CEL from the ECU...so far its all good...

Yeah, I'm thinking that with the exact same stock value of EFDF as Evo 9s, E7DF should work for 8s.

Nope. That's why I need to find the code that affects the readiness check.

I have noticed that usually different ROM IDs carry different values for things such as 2 byte load, 2 byte RPM, etc....should I be worried that this code above was for ROM ID 88590015 or are the Periphery codes universal for the USDM Evos?

BTW...I am also using the Rear o2 sim patch for my ROM ID found in this link... https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=333820
Still going good! No o2 sensor plugged in....the two different patched applied.....no CEL

Just to help a little more... tephra's ROM uses the sim patch I posted in the thread that dexmix references, so either way you go, the result is the same.

So let me know if it works for you, I really want this to work!
Just a quick update, used a different laptop with XP on it, was able to read & clear the codes, and the CEL hasn't come on since! (Knock on wood... lol)

Thanks mrfred!
