EvoScan has a fit when I try to log now, and when started it makes the car wig out.

Double checked everything, and it's all right. Seems like the ROM when loaded into the ECU makes EvoScan no longer work...

Hmmm.... Any ideas?

Im getting sort of the same issue with Mitsulogger. Im wondering if we are experiencing the same thing. For now, I can do the same as you and use two different maps (one with knock light, and one without for tuning)

I was having a hard time using Evoscan 1.0

But version .99 was working just fine.

Are there any problems with having everything set up in the XML files, and just switching out the modified rom, and not replacing all of the xml files with unmodded ones? I am assuming that I can just turn the on/off value to 0 on my unmodded rom, correct?

Is reading through the thread really that hard?

Modifying xml files only adds tables to the ECUflash program. When you change those values in added tables it will only affect anything if you have a flash file/rom (.hex) that supports those changes. (So long as you added the xml script into the right definition file)

(which means you can put 0 or 1 or 9999 in there, it is not gonna change anything unless you have a modified(patched) rom)

OK...

So I was having a issue with EvoScan 1.0..

But I thought it was a install related issue.

Tonight I will test, confirm and post the details here.

94170008 works like a charm on my 2003 Evo. Like someone mentioned before, later today I am going to tap the line for "Service engine Light" from the Ecu and link it to a light.

I think my logging problem is driver related, not ROM related.

Thanks again for the mod guys! It works great (96940011). Unfortunately, mine is flashing all over the place. (Gotta get my logger sorted out so I can tune it..)

change the default load=100,knock=1 to load=150, knock=4 that should reduce your flashing
