strange - i guess just retry the flash...
ECUFlash *probably* wouldn't have updated your ROM with the immobilizer code as that segment shouldn't have changed...

Ok I tested it again using 1.29a and same thing, it started and idled for a sec then died. I downloaded the modded rom you posted tephra added my settings including my immobilizer code by and it matches my backup rom that does work. Good news is I am logging boost successfully thru a motorola 3bar map sensor bad news lol the i cannot test knock patch yet. my settings are 1 for on, then 4 counts to trigger and 20% load and 5000ms
I'm having an issue with the "CEL on knock flash time". I have tried a couple different ranges from 1500-3000ms and whenever the required knock sum is met, the CEL will flash but will continue to do so for several minutes before it stops. I read the ecu after every flash to confirm the settings change and they do.
My ROM ID is 94170008. I'm also running ecuflash version 1.31. At first from my reading I thought some of the issues with version 1.31 were limited to the IX definition files. Could it be a problem with ver 1.31 or is there anything else I should be looking at?
Thanks,
Chris

Just happened to me. I initially used 1.31 EcuFlash.
Just installed 1.29a, gonna go for a drive and see if reflashing with 1.29a will cure the problem.
EDIT: Well i'm not sure why the version would matter...I think rom is what matters, i dunno.... In any case i reflashed the rom using 1.29a and the problem stayed. Every time i encounter knock, it'll start flashing and not stop for longer than 5 min...

Instead I chose to do a complete uninstall of 1.31 and then installed 1.29a. I had accidentally deleted the modified 94170008 xml file and pre-patched rom so I had to start over from scratch. So there's no way of knowing if 1.29a fixed it or if I had made an error patching in Tephra's additional xml the first time. I'm still getting used to ecuflash as a whole, e.g., modifying xml's etc. I was running DSMLink prior.
However it does work properly with 1.29a so I'm leaving it as is for now.
Nice to see you got it working. I think you will like it. This was one of the features I loved about DSMLink and Tephra made it even better, making it flash and having it configurable with a few parameters.
Now all we need is the NLTS and we will be set.
