Here's a log:

Finally here's my maptrace:

My logs are not hitting the same load values as the maptrace says. I know people have said maptrace can be off but based on looking at my Evoscan timing map the ecu is really pulling timing based on the higher load values that maptrace shows. Is this normal? I want to add timing until I get knock but am worried about upping timing based on my assumption that the loads are really higher.

how much boost and what gas?

definitely looks like you could give it 2 more degrees at peak torque, i was knocking with only 1 degree.

Check the IAT trim table, looks like you're only 1 degree off from your map so that may be it.

I think I have an old ECUFlash. Do I just need to add the following to the xml file?

<table name="Min Load for IAT-Compensated Ignition Trim" category="Timing" address="3ca8" type="2D" level="1" scaling="Load8">
<table name="Engine Speed" address="6b7a" type="Y Axis" elements="10" scaling="RPM"/>
</table>

<table name="IAT-Compensated Ignition Trim" category="Timing" address="3c8e" type="2D" level="1" scaling="TimingTrim8">
<table name="MAF Air Temp" address="714a" type="Y Axis" elements="8" scaling="Temp"/>
</table>

Once I do this, do most people 0 out the table all together?

My friend was telling me about this table. I should have looked into it more sooner. Just changed my IAT table. Decreased 38 and 93 by 1 degree. 38 celcius is now 0 and 93 celcius is -1

Wish it wasn't wet outside so I could pull some logs and see if the timing goes up now. I hope this works, I think I can have more left in the top end of my car.

Raptord, thanks IAT trims were definitely the issue. After resolving that issue I was able to add more timing. I didn't add until knock but I think it is very close.

My problem now is the huge drop in torque and HP after 4000rpms. Here's a log of that area. I don't think adding timing will help. Any suggestions? Mivec perhaps?

why is it that you think timing wont help?

my timing from 4k-6k goes from 5-9 degrees, and it relieved a lot of my fall off.

i may have missed but whats your boost look like?

You've got a relatively sudden drop in load between 4k and 4300, are you using ECU controlled boost? If so you could increase WGDC in that area to fix the dip. Otherwise, like Penguin said, try another ° of timing.

i must also add, take my timing numbers with a grain of salt (no more than the idea to add more). more car has been eating up the timing i give it because of unknowingly rich afr's, since i still cant get my god damn lc1 to read right in evoscan.

but anyway, i did notice when i was trying a few different maps, on one revision when i played with the spool range, i forgot to copy over the new 240+ load area, and wound up with ~2 degrees less in some areas. it made a noticeable difference in the VD graph in holding the power in that area.

I'm using a mbc to control boost, spikes to 23 psi then tapers so basically at peak load I'm at 260 then it should level to 240 and taper to 220. I'll try another degree of timing at 4000-6000 tomorrow.

I was able to add in a degree of timing from 4500-7000. It did not result in any additional power. The dip i had must have been from a boost spike or something because I'm not getting that much torque now. What do you guys think of my transition from 4000-4500 I make the timing ramp from 4-6. So far I only get a sporadic count of knock at 4500-5000 range but like I said sporadic. Sometimes 0 sometimes 1 count.
