My apologies in advance if you weigh 600lbs. But how exactly does one get an evo to weigh 4163 lbs??? I know your mod sig has subs in the list, but are the enclosures made of 1/2" SS wall? Do you have 20 subs in your car? An anvil in the trunk?

Am I running too much timing? CALI 91 so I get the occasional 1-2 counts here and there, never more than 2 unless its shift knock.

walbro, dp,tp,catback, licp, intake filter, and mbc @ 21 psi

ALSO my boost hits about 21 psi 2nd and 3rd gear, then 4th gear 22-23 psi, 5th gear is near 24 psi... this is at night btw. do I need to start porting things?

I tried interpolating like killerpenguin said...

got the above log... strange because I used to make about 310 whp and 280 wtq on VD but I'm making less now.. I think its because I turned the boost down to around 21 psi rather than 23 psi?

Why are you guys still using stock rom? Switch to tephra rom and rescale those maps so you can get more resolution out of it.

Its in every ROM. Theres a table that pull timing based on intake temp. When its warm, it pulls timing. Search and you will find the table definitions, if you dont already have it.

Yes, a lil too much timing. Use the timing the knock sensor is telling you to use.

Yes, boost will be higher in each gear, especially with a MBC. The only way to have it the same in each gear, is to do gear based ECU boost.

Looks like you'll be right where your mapped if you get rid of the knock.

I know that's a definite possibility but how come it doesn't seem to affect everyone?

Also, do you have the definition handy I'd like to add it since I don't seem to have the table

It does affect everyone. Most just know about it and adjust it.

You are on ROM 8859 right?

yup 8859. the only issue i ran into was definitely interpolation, as it was something like a 9 and 11 cell next to each other and it was only rounding to like 9.2 or something so still hitting an actual 9 degrees. turned the 11 to a 10 and it was fine.

ive done pulls in anywhere from 50-100 degrees and seen no changes...

Yes a lil bit too much timing from my Knowledge, Also your car seems to be a little bit on the lean side during your Midrange.. since its 91 Oct. You can lean the top out a bit where it goes to 11 flat... aim for 11.5at 3500-6500..11.4-11.3 at 7k and 11.1 at 7500.

As far as the boost issue, look into Ecu controlled boost. I have Gear based boost, it works awesome as i have it set to lower boost in 5th for freeway.
