your clutch switch has two cables going into it cut one of them and fit a toggle switch, mount it on the dash somewhere,
and then NLTS becomes switchable.

actually depends on weather the top clutch switch is Normally open or closed,???
someone test it out and then we will know how to wire in the override switch,

So, if you cut power to the top clutch switch, your NTLS is disabled? That is useful info, if I understand you correctly.

and how does this affect anything else?

so to clarify things:

Clutch line <----- [ switch OFF ]----- = no NLTS
Clutch line <----- [ switch ON ]----- = NLTS Enabled

however i would be much interesting to have a one of the stock buttons in the car or even a switch wired directly to the ECU so that we dont have to cut the stock switch.

if you want to turn on the valet mode, in this case then you need to TURN ON the nlts (to connect the sensor) and then go to the routine of holding the gas pedal down and push in the clutch..

well I am not 100% sure what the effects of disconnecting the clutch switch will have,
should be no major hassle try it out???
the car should start if the switch is there or not,
it is just a signal to the ecu,
give it a shot and if it works then fit the switch,
I was running my car on an 8 ecu with no clutch switch the car started and ran fine no hassle,

Teph, everytime i do my valet mode the "SES" light flashes continuously once i revert it back to normal mode. It turns off after about a minute or so...never did this before on the old patch.

hey Jeff,

The SES will flash whenever it changed to on or off, it fast flashes when ON and slow flashes when OFF.

If it didn't flash you wouldn't know if you had turned it off ok.

Cheers
D.

i don't think you understood what I was saying. Before the SES wouldn't flash after you turn off Valet mode. Example: ignition on + 100% throttle for whatever duration...SES flashes to let you know your in Valet mode. Now when you turn off Valet mode, ignition on + 100% tps the SES goes off after the duration...kinda blips and the light stays flashing for another minute and goes away

yeah because ppl wanted to specify how long to flash for I needed to have a way of saying its in "OFF mode" - thus the slow/fast flash was born.

it is doing slow or fast flashing yeah?
