TephraMOD V5.8 - testing help required
I think, once again, that one of the first things that could really help in here is to have someone like Jack_of_Trades (or similar member like nj1266) to moderate this part of the forum. IMHO, there is a REAL need for some general housekeeping in here. Also, this forum could possibly make good use of some sub categories: EvoScan, EcuFlash, Tuning, General setup, Latest Advancements, etc.

8upurv8,
The first post of this thread has 94170015 listed as ready to test:
Also, the first post of the huge tephra v5 patch thread lists both ROMs as ready:
https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=332778
If you just want to switch from the 0008 to the 0014/0015 there should be no problems assuming you follow the right steps...

Copy/Paste 015 into my 008 file?!?
That's what I'm not sure about, and I really want to try V5!!!

forget your 08 rom, load the 15 rom and copy all your maps from your 08 rom into the 15 rom.
if this is your first tephra mods experience get someone to help you

apparently smoggy
still - treat is as though it hasn't been tested.
take the usual precautions and run through the usual basics tests before lead-footing-it

I'm having a good time with 5.8, but I still haven't played with many of the features. NLTS is one the top priorities, but I'm starting to run out of free time.
One thing that I could use is a link that explains how to use all the features.

Yes, lean spool was disabled on my last rom. I haven't logged the new rom, but I will tonight or tomorrow. Thanks for the heads up.
To get lean spool enable/diable and to remove my EGR trouble codes and in 5.8, can I add the following tables? I copied straight out of my old 94170008 rom.
<table name="ECU Periphery0" category="Misc" address="faa" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>
<table name="ECU Periphery2" category="Misc" address="fca" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Hex16"/>
<table name="Lean Spool Enable " address="1681" type="1D" level="1" scaling="uint8"/>
<table name="Lean Spool Disable" address="1685" type="1D" level="1" scaling="uint8"/>
56DA is the value for table Periphery0
0DDF is the value for table Periphery2
48 is the value for the lean spool enable
48 is the value for the lean spool disable
Worth a try? I just worry that the 0008 and the 0015 roms are too different...

The one thing that I don't like about the Tephra patch is the requirement to hold the gas pedal down with a fresh ignition in order to start the car.
I have an Exedy Triple Carbon clutch that is a real workout to use and I stalled the car a couple of days ago. I caused a traffic jam and missed the green light having to turn the car off and hold the gas pedal down waiting for the slow CEL to restart the car.
How do I completely disable this feature? I changed the "1s" to "0s" for both Valet options in the Tephra mods map in EcuFlash and then the car wouldn't start no matter what.
