I know most of the addresses transfer directly and you just change the "0x" to "23", but since the paramid=8 for the adc logging on standalone, I can't just put "8" in the request id when adding a new data item in EvoScan, right? Still new to this and oh-so lost.
Right... Lol kinda lost me there for a minute.. Haha see I was aware of the pin 8 in the extended (rich has a thread I believe), but I could not find that thread or any other info on that way, wanting to get logging before next weekend (track day). So I was going to attempt the o2 tap. I ether way I would love for someone to point out a good thread on what's best. I ethereal I'm down for advise.

Thanks chi-town

you can paste the xml snippet anywhere inside of the matching .xml file as long as you dont nest one tag inside of another. it is best practice to keep the DTC section grouped together.

the xml file is typically located in C:\Program Files\OpenECU\EcuFlashBeta\rommetadata\mitsubishi\ evo\

and yes, after you paste the snippet to your XML file and save, you have to open ECUFlash to change the values.

the xml file is just a list of addresses needed by ECUFlash to read your rom. you actually have to change values through ECUFlash.

and remember, always check to see if the before values match.

Is there no way to disable the P0420 catalyst efficiency code on a 2008 without taking out the rear O2 sensor, disabling the heater, and disabling all of the other codes that go along with that?

Just saw disabling the 0139 takes care of 0420 on the 2010+ years but does it work on 2008 too?

On a 2008, disable these:

DTC P0139
DTC P0140

And set the Rear O2 bit to 0 in the ECU Options Set #2 bit.1.

That's it. No need to remove sensors.

Doesn't the ECU Options #2 disable the heater though? If the sensor is still in the exhaust with no heater it will be destroyed

Yep. If you read this thread from the start, it has you do it years ago.

I just looked at Golden's definitions. It's defined for this ROM set.
