I would go with option 1 personally, keep it simple.

 

Hi. Have the links to "big map translator" and "big map smoother" been broken or shut off. Clicking on them takes me to blank page at globalshare. Thought they sounded worth trying, but could just fill in maps manually I suppose. My thanks to everyone who shared their knowledge and experience. Tephramod 9626 is a better rom to use than 9653 as it is much simpler, has no rear o2 and less emissions code.

 

And requires him to send a donation which he may never even figure out how to tune himself, plus waiting time for a response.

 

When switching over to tephra I get the car to crank over but it wont start! I've been searching around and all I see is people saying it's the immobilizer hex..

I've tried changing the value and the same problem persists. Here I have attached is the rom I currently have on the car and the tephra rom I'm trying to flash. What's wrong? It seems like I do have a immobilizer problem but I changed the values to match exactly like the current one.

I've tried both the evo ix tephra rom's and they both just crank over (v7+mods and speed density). I am trying to switch over to speed density. Also, I haven't yet changed the init code but I'm pretty sure I'm not supposed to touch that as I followed step 5 on https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...hramod-v7.html

I've downloaded ecuflash 1.44 and checked the immobilizer and it shows to be different. However, the version ecuflash (1.29a) I'm using only works with my cable (tactrix 1.3m) and the codes are the exact same. What do I do?

 

Can you try to disable the immobilizer to see if it will start?

 

I can try but I wouldn't want to have that as my solution. Is it setting the immobilizer to 0x0000?

 

Can you try a non speed density rom to simply things? Make sure you don't need to alter some settings in the speed density rom if that is what you want to use. My car required 0x0058 for the immobilizer hex. And setting the immobilizer to 0x0000 will not work, I believe you have to go into the periphery bits to disable it.

 

Yup! I disabled it and the same thing happens. I have no idea why its not starting. I've tried my other key (not programmed) on the original rom and it has the same symptoms as the reflash.

where is possible to download 9626 with tephra options for try if it works good in EDM evo8's?

I can only have a 9626 stock, but it could be great to check NLTS, CEL on Knock, drop boost on high knock, map switchin ect...
