ok a quick update, i have the new version available to download. auto tune is disabled in it currently (but it is out to testers) so hopefully in a few weeks i will have an updated one with that too

also and i am being upfront, this app is time limited till 1st June 2011. After that date this version will not work. This so that people update to the latest version. I do not have any intention to charge money for my work.


saying that i wont mind a donation of a coffee or two if u like the program. or if someone can do a good instruction manual that would be absolutely appreciated.

as long as you have a DMA rom it will work.

currently the only V7 rom is 9653 (SD and non SD). the others are all v510. to use this program ur rom has to be dma enabled. if it isint then download one of the ones that are available.

hey ziad how exactly does the auto tune work?

 

auto tune is not enabled in this version. but basically you have a target map. then do a few runs after every 100% throttle application (pull) the program computes the cells its going to change and the new AFR there. then writes it to ram.

its not perfect but comes pretty close, and u still need to do a bit of smoothing and interpolation.

 

Just an FYI you need to change a few parameters in the altmap vectors to get live mapping to work (at least for 96532706). Fortunately there is a XML def for it and it is labeled well. I've attached a pic to illustrate what I am talking about.



This table just points to what maps you are using, so I have my alt-maps set to RAM were the livemap program can make changes. If left stock as when the hex file was downloaded they point to ROM so any changes made don't actually effect the car.

EDIT: These changes need to be made in ECUFLASH not livemap. so this is a general FYI as it was not obvious when it was not working for me.

 

yep correct...... hopefully in the next version that wont be a necessary... i am looking being able to make a normal rom into a dma rom from the program so the new rom can be flashed onto ur car via ecuflash.

obviously wont be for all roms


after that i think i will get the donation bar out like everyone else
