Mellon: you know that is totally reliant on how smooth your tune is to start with. When your tune is smooth as a babies butt already ... ya dont need much smoothing
No problem. I was getting frustrated with mine not working so I know how you feel when you couldn't get it to work. I thought I was the only one having that problem. Glad I could help.
Thank you for replying me about the WHP Brad
to be honest I didnt donate yet and I really can't now (ACDpump & power-steering fubar in one month is too much for my budget) but I'll do it at the end of october

A sample rate between 0.1 and 0.2 seconds will give a smooth power curve, with minimal smoothing required.
Shorter than that and the logging time-stamp errors start to make things look ugly - and error prone!
This is probably the only example I can think of where we want a slower sample rate for best results.

Kakihara: hey no problem ... donate what ya can when ya can. Glad you like it.
Merlin: I approached this problem once before by introducing a 100rpm 'trimming' feature that only allows one entry per the window width (100rpm). This takes care of the fast sample rates. (just so you know)

It was introduced sometime toward the front of the year or maybe even end of last year. Id have to read the release notes to find out when it was released. It smoothed out a lot of problems I can tell you that.
I need help using the VD , I logged my car on a flat road from 2300rpm's all the way through 8200 rpm's in 3rd gear . I used the log and the car and place it on the cd and it shows 430whp . I have an evo ix with evo 8 3rd and 4th gear so which model should I choose evo8 or evo 9? do I have to tell the VD how much boost or it will now from the reading of my Omni 4bar?
Select Evo 8 if you have the 3rd/4th gears from an VIII.
VD will plot your boost by itself, if it doesn't find it you just need to tell it what the column name is in your log.
