If I remember correctly, mrfred has a thread on the right way to deactivate EGR and I think it's related to a change in periphery bits. I just doesn't want to search it from my phone right now .

I need the EGR turned on in the state of Mass. I will try a few changes over the weekend, but I'm seriously close to paying someone to just fix it.

Remove EGR, disable in ECU, set ECU to force pass.

How did you get the omni 4-bar to work with the EGR on your factory rom? As far as I knew there wasn't any code written to make the omni work with the EGR due to being less sensitive than the JDM MAP? Someone correct me if I am wrong in this. I run the 9417 V7 with the EGR disabled on an omni 4-bar and have no issues like what you have described.

Someone in a state that runs emissions test will have to chime in on all of that as I don't have to worry about it. I love SC!

There was a huge thread about 2 years ago on guys getting sent to super inspection centers due to "odd" values being detected in their ROMS, and some of the force pass parameters were setting off triggers in the state inspection software.

ReaperX - I used this XML in this thread.

That XMLnot present me with any issues during my control testing. May be it would have had I pushed the car hard, alas I did not.

Here's is the info you are looking for, copied from the thread.

The compatibility instructions here are essentially a copy of my instructions for the JDM 3-bar but with the OMNI 4-bar settings with the exception that I do not include changes to make the 4-bar sensor work with the EGR system test because the 4-bar sensor is not sensitive enough to work with the EGR test. Besides, the EGR test is a sham, and the car will pass emissions with the test disabled.

Irregardless, I will play my v7 ROM over the weekend and try to get things in comfortable order and still keep my emissions stuff active.
