maybe 15-18% loss in Spyro's set up is closer to reality?

what's the highest confirm DJ WHP for an evo? Has it reached 1200WHP?
that's great to assume, but that lost energy has to go somewhere... usually turns to heat. The point that Erland made earlier...what trans/diff cooler are you running? Which was surprisingly (or not?) not answered.

Yes maybe 5% is closer, maybe 45% is closer, maybe he rides a unicorn not a horse.

WHP is not a measure of the most powerful engine. If you fit ceramic bearings, superfinish all the drivetrain, fit lighter wheels, all this will make a big difference on a dynojet inertia test. So power to wheels increases because you lowered friction and inertial losses but engine is still making same horsepower. But now your estimated flywheel figure has increased by a greater factor again. More random numbers

lol, I have no idea.....15% to 18% felt good in the stomach if I was a betting man BUT; last time I went to Vegas that feeling didn't help me much at all

I noticed he ignored to answer the cooling set-up but more importantly, what material he is using for the gears, pump, clutch and on and on......so who knows? We do know he is using a very light rotating assembly so I assume the same care goes to his drive-train parts which bring us to an efficient set-up thus decrease parasitic losses.

I do understand WHP and BHP.....my question about highest confirm WHP EVO motor is just a curiosity of mine. It helps to extrapolate numbers just for **** and giggles since that is what we are doing in this thread?

Perhaps he should do a deal with a scandinavian town where he gets a free unit in exchange for heating their town all winter with his dyno pulls.

Sorry this is

Sounds like a plan Tim

In all seriousness, I love this thread, been following it for some time now.
I take the numbers spouted with a pinch of salt, but marvel at the quality of the parts being produced. I very much like the idea of, if we can't buy what we want to make something perfect, lets MAKE IT.
Many many things we now take for granted, have been born through the same bloody minded attitude to succeed and I wish you all the luck in the world Spyros !

Just a quick question, did you ever make a billet block for the cosworth engine?

Thanks Mark

Just saw this on Facebook, Looks like Spyros is working with Tony at T1, this would be a good car to test what ET has to offer, (another turbo 4 banger)

Lol! The super huge injectors idk who makes those, but he commonly uses ID injectors, also look up the ET US build, will most likely be done at the end of this year..

Hi

Just some quick posts of our new billet wrc/Lm intake manifolds.
The most advanced intake manifold system.

Next post how we design - built them - test them.
From our new Gas - Liquid-Loading-Field-Data Analysis and Multiphase-Flow Modeling software to flowbench to dyno to reality.
