Jeez why is it that hundred of happy customers turn on a company when 1-2 people arent 100% happy. Every company has foes. Tuning is very variable part of a car. If dg didnt feel comfortable making 500 on your setup thank them for not wanting to toss a rod the next day. Even the cars tuned on the jagged edge can make more power. If they had tuned it on the edge and you blew it up, you would blame them right?

I agree, once a few people have a problem, a million come bashing. However, in this instance, someone had proof to show a wrongdoing and showed the vendor changing CF numbers to beef up the graphs and posting up high numbers.

As for all the other personal stuff, I agree, some things are outside of a shops control, and I agree with not wanting to push the motor too high. Totally understandable. However changing the post to back up a lie is totally unethical and wrong.

That is why all I ask, and others should ask is an explanation from DG. All this other stuff is over, can't be changed and is history.

Here we are: August 12th after working on Luke's car all day, It is a Friday night.

What does the clock say in the video?

1 A.M

Wow, we stayed past 1 a.m to finish your car up so you can enjoy it all weekend long instead of closing shop after working a long hot/humid week....

Car seemed to run smooth to me? Maybe I am wrong?

The car also seemed to make peak boost around 4,100rpm and the graph is pretty darn clean as well..

Damn I hate people who sit there and disect peoples posts. Oh you didnt name 2.3 points of the subject. This isnt a thesis or something. Some people just like to talk to other car enthuseists without being harrased about all the rules. This guy had a legitamate complaint it seems and I dont blame him for being upset. Oh and yes im sure I misspelled several things.

50whp on that kind of a setup is about 5-7 degrees retarded. AFR is pretty basic... if you've tuned one evo and done fuel sweeps you'll know what they like.

In defense of DG...
The customer asked for anti-lag. They were correct in saying that they cannot install it without hardware. Anti-lag is different than a two step. If the customer wanted lots of timing retard between shifts...that should be doable. Very easy. None-the-less I don't think DG was being misleading or lying to you about this. They are right in this case.

Being as you paid DG to tune your car.... you have some input as to how aggressive a tune can be. IMO you're literally talking about 1-2 degrees of timing retard. However, being upset that decided to stay on the safe side of things...so their reputation for tuning is not tarnished.... I can understand that as well.

If their tune sucked... it sucked. You should post a datalog with your knock events along with RPM, load, AFR, and timing advance. That will speak volumes to the tune in question.

All this being said you need to become more responsible for the well being of your car.

You do know that their dyno does read lower... Ive even proven it when a 1.0cf when I got tuned by DG then went to Turbotrix and used their Dynojet... There was a difference in numbers right away.

Did or did not charlie try different solutions to yield more power for Luke on the Dyno? Charlie would add the degree and add that 1 extra pound or 2 extra pounds, and the car would infact loose alittle power. Given, it could of been the tune, but that night, you saw them try and you cannot deny that. I was there and I saw that, nor am I blind or a rookie in this game.

Erkel also did it on a Dynojet, where Pete has stated NUMEROUS times that it should make quite a bit more power on a Dynojet rather than their DD.

Want to see what his car would do now to settle this all? Take his numbers that he is making with Erkels tune, put it on DG's dyno at a 1.0cf and touch NOTHING. See what the comparison numbers are to end all this he said nonsense. That will prove whose theory of percentages is correct in terms of number loss or gain and finally end this stupid war.

many things that DG did i not know or even hear about until recently i know my car runs fine and always felt strong my car was always a torque beast..I met Pete this year and he has done things most people would not have done for me

would i have been mad if i was lied to or played me yes. charlie is another good guy he answered many questions for me and did something that without him i could not have done as for him being a bad tuner i cant say that about him or Pete.

one thing i know when you push a car is things can happen..retunes are a good thing to get when weather changes and plugs on evos go and can cause some serious problems when tuning or pushing a car

i do not tune or build i just know my stuff and i drive...Jimmy and Luke are good guys and so are Pete and Charlie if i can say anything i can say this is a big learning point for many people hope everyone enjoys their car like i am doing 4wd burnouts in my stock turbo evox!!see you guys at the track/street

Thanks allen feeling is mutual for you....but there is a lot of shady things going on. If you can't do a awd burnouts with those mods then I dunno hahha

my mod list may be long be its all things i did to make the car look and be more safe. i always do a little extra to make sure the car will be safe...rod blots head studs springs and retainers fuel pumps the works i push my car hard it needs to run safe
