I just got back from the shootout.. it was awesome - as it always is. of course the sun has me red as hell though.

My first time ever going down a track in a car ever and i went 11.3 @ 121 - i will post the slip tomorrow.

the track really surprised me.. it gripped so insane.. i didnt slip the clutch long enough so it bogged during this run with a 1.7 60ft and then my rev limiter was only set to 8k so i road 4th gear until i hit limiter then shifted to 5th and passed in 5th gear.

ok now the funny part.. i remember i had 24gallons of e85 with me and couldnt find it.. guess where it was? in the trunk during my run......... LOL. so thats another 200lbs in the trunk during that run..

I got a pass later on after removing that weight, increasing the rev limiter & increasing the 2 step and it launched super ****ing hard.. i think my friends got it on video.. the car spun all of 1st and some of 2nd then i tried to nail it into 3rd and the exedy twin popped off the wedge collar so i was done for after that.. i even have a clutch fork stop.. wtf is this that?

now im def going back to a local track to get my 10 sec pass cause the car def has it for sure.. but now i have to figure out what i want to do as far as clutches go..

2nd to 3rd is the most critical gear imo and if i cant throw it in as hard as i want without having to worry about the **** disconnecting from the tob then i dont want it.

Saw that run, it definitely spun all the way through 1st and part of second... wondered what happened to the car...

Yes the subie turbos already use garret cartridges. Curt didn't get to run the drag, he was having clutch problems. Curt and I will be getting our FP BB Black on the track in the next couple weeks. These turbos are sick! Just 28psi on my 2.4 rips me across the road in 4th.

Sean, tom was riding the rev limiter going through the trap. The car has plenty of power to trap a higher mph, tom just ran out of gear since he had the rev limit to low.

fair play for having a go but 121mph is very low for 600+whp.
As far as clutchs go then if you drive the car every day and want something useable go for a exedy metallic triple. If your car is competition based then a Superclutch triple, think it's a adapted quatermaster.

I would think a 600 hp should be doing at least 105 if not closer to 110 or even better. Stock turbo cars are doing faster the 95 in the 1/8th...
