This may not be any dyno figures, but the motor is still being 'run in'

EF3 on a high comp 2L doesnt lag too much, still good enough to go sideways in the wet when trying to go straight LOL

gymkhana 1 (0:49 trying to go straight and it kicks out heaps)

Nice... What RPM do you hit full boost by?

I have an Evo X that is being built. MAP EF3 is the turbo of choice with full porting. My mods are as follows:

2011 Evo X
Manley TT I beams
Wiseco 9:1 Compression Pistons
ACL Rod Bearings
MAP 1000 CC Injectors
Walbro 255
Ported Intake Manifold (MAP REV 2)
Stock Exhaust Manifold
MAP EF3 fully Ported
GSC S2 Cams
Supertech dual valve springs and retainers
Supertech Valves
AMS Intercooler
Cobb IC Pipes
Cobb Intake
Grimmspeed EBC
AMS Widemouth DP
Megan Testpipe
Perrin Catback
Competition Stage 2 clutch
AMS CMC Upgrade
ACT Streetlite flywheel

With that said...what kind of power should I be expecting? Based on what I read, Im thinking 450 whp on a dynojet on 93. Im not sure what torque numbers would be.

Thanks,
AJ

3rd i hit 27psi at 4200
4th 27psi at 4000
5th 27psi at 3800

the most surprising thing is though, usually in 1st gear not many turbos can hit close to max boost, due to not enough load... the EF3 is great, manages to hit 25psi in 1st, dunno what rpm though it just revs out so fast lol

Thumbs up Big Thanks to Chris@MAP for a nice EF2 upgrade!!

Yay, here comes the result of my EF2 (upgraded from my IX turbo):

Final 419HP / 378TQ @ 31psi:

Shoot Out:

Layover 419 vs 351:

Here comes my favorite part

- Huge Thanks to Kracka, Schedies and Shawn (McGuyver)
- Big Thanks to Chris@MAP for great parts and services
- Big Thanks to RON@RS for great services on my clutch
- Big Thanks to Shane+Dan@DB for great tuning and advises
- Big Thanks to all of my EvoBuddy for great support

Here comes my power mod list

Parts from last tune (351hp)

- E85
- PTE 1000
- BR intake w/ Perrin Filter
- Crushed IX BOV
- DBPerformance MBC
- ETS UICP
- ETS LICP
- ETS FMIC 3"
- PPI Ported/Coated stock exhaust mani
- MAP O2 Dump/Downpipe in one piece
- Test pipe
- Perrin catback
- MilSpec TB seal
- Blox front engine mount
- Catch Can

Added/Changed parts (419hp)

- MAP EF2 ported/coated
- Perrin EBCS
- Muse LICP
- GSC S2 cams / MAP beehive springs
- Synapse BOV
- Mona Lisa (JessieB) exhaust mani

My tuner didn't mention any boost creeping issue this time, and we did hit the fuel limitation where he couldn't give it more fuel to go higher. Anyways, this is way too much power for me to handle, so my next mod is - Driver Mod

Awesome numbers! How much boost for the shootout pull? (490whp). Doesn't this dyno read 12% lower than a dynojet as well?

My friend, this has been a long time coming and I can tell by your post that you are very pleased with the results.

I, too, have some questions about that 490 Shootout chart. I have to ask if you have a double pumper and what the IDCs were/are for the 1000cc injectors you have. I do not see that you have an aftermarket intake manifold and I am wondering how it was possible to extract that much power out of a turbo rated for 450whp. Assuming that all things check out properly, the EF2 will be more than enough for most guys. Lastly, I would ask if you are still on the stock shortblock as that peak torque looks to be cutting it close to being below the "safe" threshold.

shootout mode is basically dynojet..and 490 is very strong.. nice results for the ef2 there.

Shootout mode means that they rescaled the 420 whp dyno chart to add 12% more power. Actually, I think its a bit more than 12%, maybe 17%. The notion is that it makes it comparable to a dynojet plot.

Sorry for the poor quality pics (they are from my phone), haha. I only have PTE1000 and a modded Walbro 255, and still am on stock IM/TB and stock block. So, I, too, believe that it is running right at the edge and am not planning for any further power mod. I hope this is safe for I don't drive it in the winter and I don't take it to track at all (at least not for this year or so). It's only my DD and therefore, yes, this power is way too much for me to handle, than's why I will have a lot of Driver mod to do - it does spool pretty fast, i really need to learn to shift faster to keep up...haha... :-)

Well, I believe that you will be just fine, my friend as long as you do not get crazy with the launching or try to do a pull in 4th gear from low RPM. Other than that, I am sure that you will be fine once you add the "driver mod" to the equation.

I still say you need to come to Proving Grounds.
