It does seem a little low and I think that's from using a grimsped 3 port instead of spiking boost with a mbc

looks perfect to me. that's exactly how you want to tune bigger turbos on the stock block!

If you want to be able to do multiple back to back pulls to see changes in tunes I would recommend the dyno. I say dyno since it is much more reliable and easy to do multiple pulls without even having to think about it.

A ton of things can happen using the VD program to skew results intentionally or not, the biggest one that comes to mind is road surfaces from not being 100% smooth where bumps in the road inflate numbers.

In my opinion most people do not use the program accurately including the tuners who are publishing results for the community. I see graphs posted all the time that have the weight set too high where they don't account for the actual passenger weight, the amount of fuel in the tank, tools, lighten parts, ect...

I've come to the conclusion that all VD results should be taken with a grain of salt. If the numbers seem too good to be true then chances are that they are inflated in some way unless you know for 100% certain.

As everyone already knows, dyno numbers don't mean jack from one to the next since not everyone is using that dyno.

Seems pretty slow spooling? 20 psi @ 4300 and 25 psi @4500. Any boost leaks? Or is the spool more of a product from timing/boost manipulation for low torque? Just seems kinda laggy IMO.

After having many issues with my car i finally got it together.. As of now I have about 35 miles on a break-in but I popped a falty wastegatege solenoid code and it now it sounds like it has a mis-fire car is getting new gauges put in and it will be fix soon...(I hope) for now the mods are as follows

2.4L Race Block w/BSE
Manley Rods/Pistons (9:1CR) .20 bore
ACL Race Bearings
ARP head studs
Mild Head Porting
GSC S2s Cams
Fidanza Cam gears
255 Walbro Pump
FIC Bluemax 1450cc inj.
M2 performance 3" DP
M2 performance3”CBE
Muse O2 dump
Works 65mm TB
Muse UICP W/Agency Power BOV
ETS Intake w/KN&N filter
Hallmen MBC
Nisei Intercooler/LICP
Ported exhaust manifold
Fully Ported MAP EF4 turbo w/ turbo smart WG

After all my glitches are taking care of ill post some numbers.. I'm hoping for 500 on pump.. if Im lucky i might sneak in a E85 Walbro 400 by the wifey... By the way does anyone have advice for a got boost solenoide for my setup?

If you reread the whole post you will notice its hardly being pushed hard anywhere low or topend. The response is instant we had it out ice racing for time trial and in 3rd gear at seemingly any RPM a simple touch of throttle and the turbo was online, Matter of fact once in 3rd it never had to be shifted again at speeds varying from 30-80 MPH.

When looking at spool and response numbers i suggest you look at the 200WHP mark versus RPM of the engine, thats a great indicator of when the car is really starting to move and the turbo is mostly online, This current chart on the car was 200WHP around 3400 RPM which is about as good as it gets for a 500+WHP car (and better then most 2.0 Stock turbo evos)... I've had and seen it as low as 3200RPM on my car with the EF3 on a 2.4 When it was tuned harder.

By comparison the graph you posted shows 200WHP at 4250 rpm over 750rpm Slower then on my 2.4
If you search my other charts of the EF3 you will see on the Stock block 2.0 I was making 527WHP and 200WHP before 4k RPM, It seems your setup might be a little laggy.

If you want to know what the car is making for power now search my other recent posts its Over 530 On a mustang dyno and still has more in it. Comparing to a Dynojet would be well over 600WHP. All this power still on the EF3, What an amazing turbo, By far the best Stock frame on the market today.

yeah i can see what you mean now with that 200whp at lower rpms. good eye haha. I will certainly agree the EF3 is the best stock frame turbo out there today. The only reason I got rid of mine was for the EF2.5, hoping I can recover some of that lost spool. If i ever have a built 2.3 or 2.4 I'm certainly going with the EF2.5 or EF3.
