So Mike... what you're saying is, that my choice on this turbo was wrong? The EFR stuff was all hype? lol

Awesome dyno charts... really shows the comparison. The only car that has a similar power under the curve is probably that supercharged 5.0 Mustang, and it gets its *** handed to it in the upper ranges (and the Evo is AWD and lighter). I mean, obviously the real contender to this setup is the Fiat 500.

EDIT Comparing the FP red stock longblock it looks like this 2.3RPM motor is insanely powerful on its own without boost, It appears the red outspools it and then gets its *** kicked really quickly!
an 11second run will be similar to 4th/5th on the street.

i would assume that this car would hit peak torque in 2nd gear at about 4500rpm.
It's hard to say because we haven't seen logs of how responsive the setup is with the lightweight turbine.
I know the FP Red/Black turbo's aren't very responsive because they have a heavy exhaust wheel on them.

Thanks, Still a great setup but that runtime makes it look WAY better then it is .

Maybe. it might only change it 200rpm. We wont know until we see some logs of the transient response.

In case anyone still wasn't impressed enough, note that the comparisons Mike posted were with the highest clean pull, which I assume means without ignition breakup issues from what he indicated in the other posts.

The even higher torque/HP green line in the OP wasn't used for the comparisons. Props to Mike for sticking to a clean run rather than the all-out highest HP run for the comparisons.

and all the runtimes are consistant too so apples to apples still looks impresive to me....I've driven the evo 9 with the GT35/40 twin scroll setup and that was IMPRESIVE...for Road Racing response...

How do you know the runtimes are consistent?

because RRE doesn't play the smoke and mirrors dyno game. They use the same parameters so cars and runs are comparable.

^Your right the above charts are all consistent with each other , but.... 99% of the evom user is not used to seeing a dyno chart with a loaded or long runtime on a dyno.
That runtime makes tuning much easier you can finetune the timing and AFRs so much quicker.
But be honest an 11 second runtime is probably closer to a 5th gear pull and bet i can get peak boost in 5th nearly 800RPM sooner.

Again its not you guys being decietful rather its the majority not being used to this type of graph (myself included) , We look at this is say HOLY $HIT look at how quick it spooled in 3rd gear , reality is its basicly being brake boosted with the dyno to do that.

Im not attacking here just trying to get a furthur understanding of how good the product is , its one i have interest in and i think youve done as fair a test with tons of data and thats very much appreciated!

The same thing can be done with a mustang dyno, you enter the weight and it loads the rollers up to mimic that load.
