We havent dumped it into the vdr yet but suspect its in the 450 range dyno jet mode. I think this thing will hit 480 plus DJ on E85 once we get more fuel supply to the injectors.

Nice, now this is wishful thinking, but I think between the Skunk2 manifold/tb swap, and my coming upgrade to GSC S2 cams I will reach the 450 mark. Undoubtedly, I will run this on ECU boost if I ever get it figured out? My per gear calculations are off and I have done the math from scratch a few times.. It reads backwards, and never snaps to the right gear in logging... ehh.. Anyways are you on MAF?

I am. 84MM FP Intake Pipe, MAF, Vibrant Filter. APS twin vent on recirc.

If you hit 450 DJ on pump I will super impressed. If it truly is a 51lbmin turbo like the BBK full though you could certainly get there.

Im not tooooo awful far away from that mark. I think I may have to add a nice tubular manifold to that list at some point.. A jmfab piece would be rockin.

Hopefully my antilag thread goes some where. Im going to appreciate a nice early, safe, flat torque curve @ autocross, with decent peak hp. I will def be torque limiting this setup for preservation of stock bottom. Id like to be at 375~ tq witih 450 hp.

Do you have a hta71 vs evo9 turbo power comparison or do you know of 1 posted?

~ how much power did you pick up when you went to this turbo?

kinda sorta. I picked up roughly 20 whp.

This is a FP white with the turbine wheel clipped from FP.

MY APOLOGIES as this graph is in VD uncorrected and this thread is in VD corrected DynoJet mode! While it is not a stock 9 turbo, I am still a bit green when it comes to tuning.

This is not an apples to apples comparison because a few things have changed, and it was during my experiment with ECU boost.

i thought it was a ix turbo, but when I sent it to FP he told me it was a FP white witha clipped wheel.

And when I took it to STM to put it on the mustang.

I am curious as to what trap speeds you can expect with a well prepared supporting mod car? Being that its 51lb/mn is it safe to say you could at least 125-128mph?

Gsc s2 cams and springs going in. Adapter plate to achieve a stock tb with this manifold will be used. I am absolutely going for approx 450 evom horsepowers. Maybe more. While torque limiting.

Wouldn't be surprised at full tilt this turbo could go 129-131

Turbojunkie went 130 with an FP white fwiw

We are turning up the wick on Wednesday. Shooting for 490 plus. Hoping for 128 traps.

Really, I could never imagine trapping 130! I do not have e-85 available to me. I would love to do a 2.3 build and let the torque fly off the handle. What saftey equipment do I need to go that fast at a track? I have a helmet.. Wheres the limit for a basic cage?

you would need a 6 point roll bar, for 11.49 or faster.

orrr you go to a leniant track

orrr you make a couple passes, get kicked out, then rinse and repeat 2 weeks later

but yea, pretty sure you get this turbo to go 130, with a good tire and a competant driver, and a little weight reduction (bumper beams, remove seats, a drive shaft) it will do it.

pending $$ if i can't go to a larger stock frame (atp gtx, fp black) i might buy a buddies dead evo9 turbo and send it in to get the 71hta treatment and push it to the limit
