Hey Don; great thread you have going on here, been following along. What part of SoCal are you in? I’d like to check out your car sometime, I’m in the SGV area, Hacienda Heights to be exact.

Hi! I work by you (60 & 605 freeways). I live in Anaheim near Knott's. It would be fun to all hit Fontana one of these days.

No need for one of these days. SpeedVentures is at Fontana this Sat / Sun. Was thinking of buzzing down there early Sat

I plan on going to the test n tune event on Nov 17th. Hoping to go low 10s with my stock block, previous best is 10.55 @ 134mph. I made the switch to E85 and have more power now, hopefully the block doesn’t mind the new found power

Stock block?? Wow!! If I can get my car's hopping problem figured out, I'll only be in 11s. With this 20G Green turbo, I expect low 11s. I have a Red but don't think my stock block will live long if I use that.

I definitely want to see your setup!

We can meet up whenever you’re free or on a weekend; I’ll PM you my number, feel free to hit me up. I don’t drive my car much to avoid any issues when police; with the younger generation doing those wreckless street takeovers and doing burnouts, it gives car enthusiasts a bad image.

Regarding your wheel hop issue, what tires have you/do you use? A softer sidewall tire with more grip should help but choices may be limited for 17” wheel size.

I've always used street tires. My current Yokohama tires seems to work well on street, but at Fontana with stick track, it sounds like driving on glue.

Awesome build, just went through everything! I'm pretty local to you guys also...I'm in Rancho Cucamonga which is literally down the street from Fontana. I'm not really into drags (more road racer) but I just got my evo 9 SE (been a Suby guy...just joined dark side LOL) so I don't mind meeting up with locals from the area to pick their brains, hang out, eat, etc.

I'm thinking about it if I need to pull mine to inspect for whining noise going 60-80mph.

So on a cool night (~72°F), I engaged in 1st amd punched it with wife and son in car. When that 430 tq hit, tires were squealing bad and car was going a tiny bit sideways. Yokohama tires should be warmed up from driving 20 miles on freeway. Guess I'll look for softer tires next. I'm just amazed that power can spin street tires in-gear.

I just realized that my tires spinning are probably saving my rods. When I get a retune with 20G Green turbo, I'll make sure to have Sam hold the torque lower.
