Thumbs down EVO MR interior

When Mitsubishi designed a 35k vehicle, they seemed to concentrate on everything accept the 'little things' like the dash. Most $35k cars have an interior that feels like money well spent, but the EVO seems to lack in this area. I feel like I'm looking at the dash of a Kia. Does anyone know of any manufacturers that produce interior upgrades to add that special "yes" to the dash. I already know of the double din mod, but what else, if anything at all is out there?

If you really want to spend the money theres the double din upgrade which combined with a DVD/Navi unit looks money! Also there are also carbon fiber kits coming out. Not sure with who, but do a search and you'll find it.

go buy a Lexus or BMW. They put that 35K into the engine and chassis.

the evo is 100% based on function and performance. The RS being the least civil and the MR being the most civil.

so you driving the MR is a luxury car compared to others

Cheers!

I finally got my evo looking like a nice car inside. FIrst was to color match all interior lighting... Trustz blue gauges, lightrikz HVAC/Keyring/lighter ring/clock/ashtray blue conversion kit. Then, Get the 2 din orbital kit with the HVAC relocation kit. That will really change the atmosphere of the interior. The seats are already really nice. You might want to take that fake carbonfiber dash peice and paint it Apex Silver/Clearcoat so its more "bimmer - like" I am going to paint a few of the dark grey (cheap looking) interior accent peices Mercedes Black/clearcoat.

An Evo interior is all business. Race cars don't need no fancy interiors.

You have to accept certain things about this car.......

I think of it as a $20k powertrain on a $15k car.........

It's the whole trade off thing. For you, it seems like you should look into a BMW, Audi, or even a VW for "finer" interior materials.........

Or, like the rest of us who love our evos for what they actually are........

you can just suck it up...........Nancy.

Sell it, add on another 20 grand, and go get a 335i.

$35k is a relatively cheap car. You might get a BMW 328 for that price but go drive one and see if the better interior makes up for the lack of handling and power. Plus I wouldn't actually car the Evo interior cheap...more like sparse...they give you what you need and not much else.
