Thanks. Im still on the stock turbo, and trying to create a "alky map". Planning on running 25-26psi falling to 22 on pump + 100% detatured alky....just trying to get a feel for what others are setting knobs at.

Does this alky plus 93 have as good of knock retention as c16? I run my c16 map with no knock, but im scared to run the same map with the pump+alky setup...probably just going to detune it a bit until i can get to a dyno!

Please pm me with your results of what you think about your alky.

Thanks

I was hitting 25 lbs of boost and tapering down to about 21.

If and when a BOV is proven to not affect partial throttle driving, I will slap it in there and be able to hold 25 lbs ALL DAY!!
I'm curious about how you know that the WR will hold 25 to redline with a better BOV. Was it holding 25 psi until you took off the Forge?

Here's a little excerpt from an article about mixing fuels that you may want to read. ( http://www.hpt-sport.com/gasclass.htm )

" Both methanol and ethanol have an octane rating of 140 to 160, so they can be used with very high compression ratios. This can result in an increase of up to 15 percent in horsepower. Where does the power increase come from? The two-stroke engine is a heat-type engine which burns fuel to cause expansion of gases, which propels the piston. The more heat produced by combustion fire, the more pressure will be exerted on the piston resulting in a power increase.

The fuel/air ratio for best power is 1:12.5 for petroleum, and 1:5.5 for methanol. One pound of petrol has an energy potential of 19,000 BTU; methanol has 9800 BTU. However, when these are mixed together, more heat energy is produced.

12. 5 / 5. 5 = 2. 2 7 * 9 8 0 0 = 2 2, 2 4 6

{(22,256/19,000)*100}-100=17%

A 17 percent heat energy increase is very desirable, but there is a catch. With this mixture, you will bum 1.8 times as much fuel as with petrol alone. When using exotic fuels, make sure to increase fuel flow accordingly, or engine life will be shortened."

I too just got tuned by Mark from TT today on my WR. I was running around a 10 flat AFR before today hah! I'll have to go out with Tony on that nice straight stretch tonight.

Robert,

Sorry, my girlfriend took me out for a belated birthday dinner and by the time we were done I was in NO shape to be driving around with a 400 HP car.........

We will hook up soon. I think that two things need to be done now:

1. We all need to hit up SAR to get some good time slips to show off to friends and family

...and....

2. We need to set up a dyno day at MZM to get some hard numbers for these tunes so I can set my mind to rest.......

Talk to Mohammed, you know him probably best of all us. See what he'll do. I know that he'll be interested now that he owns an MR also.

Tony
