The only thing dissapointing thus far is the numbers or there lack of this turbo is producing. Dont get me wrong - I want this to work - but its just looking VERY bad as of now. Two independent dynos with gains of 6-10whp? I hope good numbers come out for everyone's sake.

I never SAW your dyno sheet, I just know what you told me - but it still doesnt add up. How come you see a great difference, yet 2 others get under 10whp? Im just not feeling confident right now, I hope things will change. I dont want to have get rid of the turbo - I was so excited about it I couldnt stop thinking about it, and after this week its just turning into a buzzkill. Can you post your before/after dyno sheet or at least direct me to where it is?

26 whp gain - and 441 whp on a evo without cams and fmic are two seperate things

Al,

Don't start, OK? 441 whp was on race gas, mine was on 93 octane pump.........

Quit stirring the pot for a little while, alright?

When I bought my alky kit and called you to see if you would tune it you basically blew me off because at the time I was running the XEDE and you didn't want to mess with it...... understandable........ no complaints.........

You're a good tuner from the feedback that you are given. Be a good MAN too and give this a little time........

I think fanning the flames is only going to cause more harm than good, just my opinion but it's a free country and I guess we're all entitled to them.

Hope you have more luck tuning the next WR you get your hands on..........

Is that all anyone cares about, peak numbers? The 441 was an extreme situation, I guess I just assumed people would be able to grasp that fact. Sit back, relax, and don't let the bandwagon get you down. Hell, didn' t the guy who this thread was started about admit to having a faulty install?

I think that mayority of us(people that want a fast reliable everyday driven car) are aiming for this ultimate turbo that would spool up similar to stock Turbo but better top end and no lost of driveability.

My point is that there is a few people like that customer of Al which want to push the limits: More boost, more torque, more power and unrealisticly want to run the car using a $20 galon race fuel.

We should make reference to an aftermarket turbo that can run with 91 or 93oct, I am more interested on seen a good replacement to the stock turbo(similiar spool up, more top end, more power using 91) rather than seing how much power the WR can make using VP fuel.

These high HP dyno numbers kinda sound irrelevant, I mean is great that we know that we can achieve that much power but them not everyone lives nearby a gas station that sells race gas, not everyone lives near a racetrack where they sell race gas, not everyone can afford runing their cars tuned for only 100oct gas

Each inconclusive data point can eventually lead you to a conclusion.
if you read my post it said that there was no POSITIVE conclusive data.....not that there was no conclusive data at all.

I am not sure about the rest of you, but 30-50WHP gain from a bolt on turbo sounds pretty good to me. Crap a lot of people are spending close to $1500 on a nice TBE. I think Tony has the proper set-up for this turbo and I am curious to see the kind of numbers he puts down. Even if it was 50WHP on Alky with a safe tune I would get the turbo in the future. That is a lot of power from a turbo with stock like spool. Just my 2 cents.

I am not fanning flames. I am asking questions and having an open discussion. You were making a resonable number with pump gas and cams. if I recall you were making a bit under 300 whp (mustang dyno) with cams and pump gas - this is NORMAL. resonable and expected whp for a bolt on stock like turbo upgrade. You may have realized some gains - 20 - 30 whp - makes sense.

441 is totally unreasonable with no cams - no matter which gas you use. That would mean the turbo is good for at least 140 whp gains which is clearly not rational.
