Resonators: Louvered or no?

Im going to have a resonated test pipe made to quiet my car down and I was wondering if the louvered ones disrupted airflow that bad. I took a look at one tonight and saw that it can be placed in two directions since the "fins" are angled. I would think that if I placed it so that the "fins" were aimed downstream, it really wouldnt hurt things too much.

The other alternative is a normal perforated resonator, anyone know how much louder that would be?

any decent muffler shop can or should be able to get you one. I have a cutom 3" exhaust with 2 3" resonators. sounds really good and flows great. better than just a 3" cat. I put the cat in once and felt a major difference. btw fins twards the flow.

So, you have 2 louvered resonators or perforated? My mechanic has both kinds so Im free to choose, I just wanted to know if the louvered hurt flow that bad. Since Im only doing one resonator I want it be good at killing the sound.
