altvalet - I hear what you are saying on the knowledge levels that exist as a whole on the boards. Like anything else it is concentrated in the hands of the few. But, remember too that we have yet to see a dyno that remotely resembles the claims, despite cars that have been tuned by a variety of people over the past few weeks. I don't hold a stake one way or the other, as we don't sell these turbos, so no axe to grind. I also know that Tym and John are more than stand up guys and their reputations in the world of Mitsubishi is very well documented. Never the less, if the numbers aren't there , the numbers aren't there

It's important to remember that the WR does outperform the 9.8 stock unit (although the results show little to no difference on pump gas so far). The differences appear to be at higher boost levels on race gas or water/alcohol injection.

This was high boost... and yet no gains where seen then eighter. This was also the 9.8 evo turbo.

Look at the gains at 3.5k. torque. The peaks are lame I'll admit but look at the gain in torque at 3.5k

Those dyno gains look impressive enough to me. For a street car, that would make a tremendous difference in drivability......no?

Which graph is the WR?

According to AL's dyno WR lost HP. Blue is WR.

I'm not talking about Al's graphs....my comments were aimed at Topspeed's dyno plots a couple of posts above.

Thanks for clarifying that. Same results as AL. I wonder if this turbo is better only at part throttle which makes it a great turbo for AC.

Bottom line of why ppl are pissed is the claim of 370 whp on a stock motor. Advertising could have been a bit more clear.
