The not-so-offical EVO 9 ECU tuning thread

Right now, flywheel estimates are in the 350-360bhp range. We have some additional partial throttle MIVEC tuning we want to do today. After that we'll install the exhaust and see what we can ring out of it. And then back to the SMOG station.

Any initial results with exhaust?
So are you planning on the full 3" with a CARB legal cat then or are you going to try to pass smog with a HFC? And please tell me you hit 300whp on your dyno with just a flash and TBE w/HFC. It would totally make my day

Shiv - after reading your initial findings - I drove straight to
and picked up a IX. I 'd like to place an order for a stock car, 93 octane flash please.

Remapping usually is the first step. This tells us what parameters need to be changed to get the desired outcome. Once that is established, we can see what needs to be modified/changed with the XEDE. MIVEC, for instance, is proving to be a very useful thing to manipulate judging by yesterday's and today's tuning. So useful that we plan on getting control of it via the XEDE. I'll post up some graphs/data later today if I get done in time. I'm surprised no one is really talking about it since the factory MIVEC maps are really unoptimized for power.shiv
