Oh my goodness, reading this thread made me think I was reading clubsi. I don't own an evo but if Mivec is anything like vtec then it should help the car spool the turbo a bit faster. I don't think that it's the end all be all though, most race cars just do away with vtec and run on the hot cam all the time.

Mivec Is Good

I only have a Works stainless clutch line and Tanabe GF 210 springs. I was told to expect around 220awhp-240awhp. OK. I was hoping for 250+. The hard numbers came out to be 274awhp/266awtq. This is the most power ISP Racing has seen from a stock evo. What do you think?

What I find interesting is the difference in A/F ratio line between the first run and the two other runs. Any reason for the leaner results on the first run?

Yesterday I went back to 1320performance in Linden, NJ to have Sean Ivey retune my car for methanol injection. My initial tune with out meth was 410whp back in Feb. After I was tuned I changed some of my configuration (plumbed the wastegate back into the exhaust) and lost about 20whp. I was getting pulled over too much.

Initial pull was 382whp. Then Sean started to work his magic and in no time I was making 480whp/ 400ft/lbs @ 30psi. The car runs smooth and pulls hard (with a little torque steer). All I can say is that Sean is knowledgeable, informative, and thorough.

The only issue encountered was that my Greddy EBC was not holding boost correctly no matter what setting. We had to ditch that and go with a Turbo Smart MBC, then the boost hit 30 and held to redline.

I'm Thinking Green Turbo, TBE, and Meth. and Fuel. Tune it at ISP With Brad and be cool for another 6 months. With A baseline @ 276/266 I should have a sick Daily Driver. Look Out!

I don't know why its leaner in the 1st run but what i ve seen from my car, always on the 3rd pass makes the most power...

haven't found a satisfactory explanation yet....

If you have a HFC, usually it's because it hasn't warmed up yea and the tailpipe wideband will be off a bit until it starts flowing better.
