Older HKS turbo's used diesel compressor wheels that are still available today.

The diesel version of a GT4082 uses the same wheel.

This map looks pretty good. 22 psi looks like it will be at around 78-79% efficiency at 7500 RPM and also looks like the turbo could hold 30 psi to 7500 RPM for about 55 lb/min at ~72% efficiency.

I'm guessing that the turbo in question will be something like this. Interested in the results.

What about top end pulls? You cant go wrong, especially with your bottom end.

that is why i am wanting to try this 50trim kit dave has. should give me a great balance in what i want. i dont want a laggy big turbo, but at the same time, the stock turbo and old 20g aren't enough in the higher rpm's.

TRUST ME... You wont even notice... boost is a down shift away. Go for the 35r, I was once hesitant on going big turbo.

Of the three turbo manufactures I use for building our turbos none of them offer a BB version of a 50 trim. It will not be offered in BB unless one of these three companies offer it and from what I have gathered they have no interest in doing so.

IF it was built in a BB unit the price would be right back up there at $2995 like our other kits. The BB isn't going to make enough difference to justify the cost. Think how fast your stock turbo spools, that ballbearing option is slightly overrated.

And just when i thought i was going to pull the trigger on the 20g-LT, i think i might have to sit back and see what numbers this should pull off.

Damn missed it. Well if you guys have anything new coming up in the next few months and need another car for a test bed PM me. Its just sitting at (and will be until march when i drop back in the US for a week or two) Atlantic Motorsports waiting for the a transmission and transfer case from shep to be installed along with the new stroker block. I have no problem footing the bill to ship the Evo out to you guys and paying for parts (etc), hell it would most likely be what pushes me over the edge on going stand alone. So please keep me in mind next time.

The 50trim you are offering, will it have a 360 degree thrust bearing?

It will be interesting to see the difference between the 20gLT and the new 50trim kit.
